Everything was outstanding, much beyond any expectation. Very beautifully designed 5 star hotel in the picturesque town of Barr. Beautiful large rooms. Very helpful staff (especially - many thanks to Louise). Excellent breakfast. High quality restaurant for dinner. Great spa. Large outdoor pool and very special indoor pool. Heaven! We would definitely recommend for others and surely return by ourselves.

- amazing cleaning service including morning and night service at the room, fresh cookies and nespresso machine were great, very few hotels deliver at this level - reception desk was very helpful too

- lack of gym - sewere pipe was somewhat loud in our room - menu in the restaurant was very short cosnidering we stayed a week - water in the pool was definitely too chilly

very nicely renovated small hotel. Spa in the old wine cellar is very nice. It is very small so with the bad weather we had lots of people used the spa and it got way too crowded. Rooms are large and very nice with the exposed beams.

You could hear people walking around in the room above all the time.

Everything ! The staff was really friendly and polite, the breakfast was of very high quality with a lot of options including for special diets such as gluten free or vegetarian. We booked a massage at the spa which was also fantastic. I rarely experienced such a good massage/ spa treatment service. we also enjoyed the dinner at the restaurant which was delicious with a unique selection of regional wines. The room we stayed in was comfortable and the location is in the center of the village with a number of wineries accessible by foot. It is the perfect location for a cozy gateway weekend. We will be back.

We we stayed at the hotel it was on a weekend and the spa was quite crowded. It might be worth setting up a limit of people who could go in and pre-booking times like during covid times to avoid the crowd.

Wonderful building in a neat village, beautiful room although that was the first room I approached without a shower :-) but you have a wonderful cosy bath tub instead !! The restaurant was amazing, had the best salmon of my life !!

Price per night was during our travel time (bank holiday) a bit overdone, the night after cost only half the price.... Massage was ok.
