Excellent situation in the heart of the town..most of which is pedestrianised. Parking was nearby in a private location. Staff took us there and back when needed. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room overlooked the street...but there was not much traffic at all. Vehicle access into the town is only by arrangement...you give your registration number...which is read by cameras at the entrance roads to the town and bollards go down for you to enter. There was no overhead shower in the bath...just a hand-held...but we did not book the more expensive rooms as we were only there for 2 nights - so not the hotel's fault but ours!

Good location. Safe and clean. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast good value. Able to get a bus back to station L3 from Rue Granges Besançon was only meant to be a convenient stop over but I really liked it. Being interested in architecture , Saline Royale Arc etc Senans has been one of the highlights of my trip. About 20-30’minutes away by train. Then a 5 minute walk. Restaurant / cafe wasn’t open but there was aa good little bakery about 300 metres away to the left,

Place was very worn looking in corridors but it was clean.

Great location in the heart of the city (really couldn't be better). Great breakfast with freshly pressed juice. Good value for money. Friendly and accomodating staff. Definitely worth recommending.

Bathroom and the toilet (separate from the bathroom) were very narrow, limiting your space to move around. As in many other (most?) French hotels, no kettle, tea or coffee in the room. No air conditioning, but a large floor standing fan was provided.

A better than average small hotel in the town centre. Very 'French' feel and continental breakfast was pretty good for 2 star. Staff very pleasant. Parking was secure (although a little trek away). But the city of Besancon is stunning and being in the heart of the old town was a real bonus.

It was a bit noisy at night. On a narrow road and the schools just finishing were the main reasons..

I'm a light sleeper so I requested a quiet room on the courtyard. They provided it without a problem and it was very quiet! The Olympic Flame was about to pass through the city in our neighborhood. They gave detailed advice about avoiding the traffic nightmare. We found them very helpful and pleasant people.

Nothing! The hotel was very good, the location perfect. We had a lousy dinner on a handsome square nearby, but that had nothing to do with the hotel... It's very hard to find decent restaurants in Besançon.

Perfect location in the center of the city and a cheap private parking nearby. Very friendly: they even prepared a separate 'bed' for our dog. Nice staff, good breakfast.

Quite an old rooms, dusty and a little bit dilapidated, but that was expected for the price you pay (around EUR100 for 4 persons). Not a hotel-related tip: if you want to dine in the city on Saturday or Friday, book in advance: it's a small French city and all restaurants will be booked out on Wed-Thu already. There are some fast-food options and supermarkets, though, if you missed your chance.

There was alreays someone at the reception, even at lunch time and late evening. Friendly Staff. At the arrrival, there was even someone who joined me to the parking. The lady at the reception was friendly, flexible, and helpful. Clean rooms. enought linens and towels. Location is just amazing, in the heart of city. Despite to it's center location, because the hotel is on a sub street, it is quit in the night and even with opened windows, there were almost no noise from the streets. Great price value. The hotel is very flexible and I could check-in already at lunch time. At check-out day, I was able to leave the luggage and my car at parking until late afternoon. I would love to stay at this hotel again for the next visit in Besançon.

It's not usual French 2 star hotel it is much better. Perfect location for sightseeing. Good breakfast with local food.Good comfy beds and rooms.lots of French charm..

Of course it doesn't look fancy, and it is not easy to reach through the city by car. But the staff was very helpful and it has everything you might need for good rest.

Nice traditional hotel in historic town centre with shops etc all around. Lovely breakfast, The room was decent and had very comfy beds. Parking available - you can drop your luggage at the hotel then drive round the corner to park.

Tiny bathroom. Our room was hot and we couldn't get the window open or turn off the radiator.

The hotel is very well located in the center of the old town, everything is walking distance. The furniture is old fashioned, but the room was comfortable: small bathroom spotless clean. They have a closed storage room for bicycles, good to know for a second trip in bike season.
