Staff was incredibly friendly! Rooms were clean and compact. The shower was clean and relaxing. The location was top-notch at a very quiet site, close to the city center. We were happy with the choice and we would stay again.

1. I sent a message about room requirements beforehand and was only notified upon arrival that the arrangement was not possible. This could have been communicated earlier via booking.com messaging, which they only replied to me that they would try their best to arrange. 2. The hallway of the rooms was crowded and has a slight unpleasant smell.

All of the staff were very friendly. We arrived three hours before the earliest check in time but our room was ready and they kindly let us in. Location was perfect. Both tram lines and many bus lines stop 100 m away from the hotel. Hotel interior is modern and clean and their beds are very confy. They didn't have coffee machine nor instant coffees in the room which are usually available in other hotels but that is a tiny issue. I can truly recommend Ibis hotel for your stay in Besançon.

Very quiet with good blackout curtains. Car park essential given the central location, but beware the extremely narrow entrance, not for a large 4 x 4. Basic room but fine for an overnight stay. Friendly staff who smile (not always the case in France!). Good free wifi. Excellent shower.

Cardboard cups in the bathroom - what's wrong with a couple of glasses? Better directions to the car park are needed- virtually invisible from the road, given the narrow entrance and complex roadworks going on in the city centre.

Great location for exploring the city. Helpful staff, clean room and good breakfast. We only made a quick stop on our way home but I would happily return for longer.

There were road works and diversions which wasn’t anything the hotel could change. As a result we had a bit of difficulty finding the hotel car park and parked on a street nearby. We could have moved the car once we found it as there was space but either is fine.

Wonderful reception staff (especially Angelique, who was so very helpful for us), great location, daily room service, air conditioning , dark room at night if you want, and quiet.

Our room was fairly small because it was right next to the emergency stairs, but it was also at the furthest end away from the elevator, which also made it very quiet.

Very nice hotel, near to everything. Breakfast is excellent. The staff are so cooperative, nice, always smiling I really liked all of them. If I go back I’ll choose this hotel again

Perfect location to explore the downtown and have easy access to public transport. Rather small room and bathroom but perfectly clean, comfortable bed. Very good breakfast with wide range of options except for vegetables. Very smooth and fast checkin and helpful reception staff.

Room was excellent. Breakfast was good but not great. Location is excellent, right in the city centre, just inside the old town - not far from main station, close to main sights. Staff were very helpful, very friendly.

Breakfast was very good but could just use a reworking of plate/bowl size mostly. There's two fountains outside that can be a bit noisy early in the morning, nothing major, water is a nice sound anyway. Room layout could be a little bit better - at least in my opinion, anyway - but there was plenty of space in the room.

The shower. This is the reason I bothered writing this review - the shower. I mean, how hard can it be to have a shower that is easy and intuitive to use, that provides both hand and top showerheads, that reacts quickly to changes in temperature and that has a convenient shelf for shampoo? And yet these guys have it, and almost any other hotel I've been too - doesn't. Kudos. Other than that, it's a regular chain hotel, although the loby is better decorated than other hotels of this chain.

Very friendly staff, safe parking, direct access to city center. nice breakfast starting at 6,30. Perfect for a short visit to Besancon as a stop over.

room could be a bit more comfortable, but for 1 night doesnt matter. Passage to the parking really narrow. With a big SUV could be a challenge...
