We had a very comfortable stay at ROSA. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was great to base ourselves for exploring the city from. We were worried that noise might be an issue given the location, but there were no noise issues at all.

The location is a bit further out of the city centre which made us feel a bit disconnected. However, we like to walk a lot, so this wasn’t the end of the world. The hotel is also very conveniently located to the bus stops serving the rail station, with regular busses.

The location right nearby the train station, tram and hire car offices was very convenient. Cheap and efficient public transport makes it easy to go from the hotel into the city. I think a day pass was 5 euro and we made extensive use of three tram system. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. As this is a very old building there is no lift which would be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. Our room was on the third floor but the very nice young man at night reception carried our suitcases up the stairs. We checked out the breakfast to make sure there were some gluten free options. There turned out to be an extensive range so we took that option. Very happy with the breakfast. The lack of air conditioning could be an issue in hotter weather. We kept the window open and were quite comfortable.

Superb location immediately opposite the railway station. Excellent cafes and restaurants were within the immediate vicinity as were a number of supermarkets. Check-in was straightforward. I had a top floor room so the view of the square was most enjoyable. Everything about the room was very high quality with plenty of electrical sockets and I did appreciate the USB ports on either side of the bed! The bathroom facilities were excellent. The bedding was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. I also appreciated the provision of an electric kettle in the room.

Being on the top floor (3rd) with the hotel having no lift... but the exercise did me no harm! Some outside noise during the night which was quite loud even with the window closed.

I arrived early and the front desk not only held my luggage for me, but delivered it upstairs to my room before I returned. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, and offered me a cold soft drink and extra bottle of water to take to my room. The hotel entrance is locked after 10 PM. You ring a buzzer for night staff to let you in which was a nice safety feature.

This property is not air-conditioned but I think that is quite normal for a European traveler hotel at this level. There was a standing floor fan in the room, which made it comfortable enough to sleep. Unfortunately the only electrical outlet near the bed was being used for the fan so I had to charge my phone across the room in the other outlet. I was only staying for one night in transit from my overseas flight to a train the next day so these were very minor inconveniences.

The staff were all amazing, spoke excellent English and could not have been more helpful. The hotel itself is charming, with a lovely courtyard and in a pretty good location. Very pleased to have had air con in the room as well!

The room and beds were on the smaller side. Although the bedding was turned down each day and the towels changed, the room wasn't vacuumed in the 3 nights we were there and the bin wasn't empty.

The staff of the hotel was excellent - very helpful, friendly and flexible. Even helped us to bring our luggage to the upper floor. Many thanks to you! The room was quite spacious, with big windows. The air conditioning worked very well and silently - it was important on such a hot day. The breakfast had a good choice- it was nice to have it outside in the terrace. Overall, very enjoyable experience.

We liked everything! The location was perfect as the hotel is opposite the station. We had a glass of wine in the pretty garden on arrival at 10.30 pm and the breakfast was lovely. The service was fantastic - our bags were carried up to the room (and gown again) and the room itself was very comfortable and well equipped.

The hotel was very well run with extremely helpful and friendly staff. They had a secure area for my bicycle and the room was nice. I opted for a room with a view of the city and was rewarded with a view of the beautiful Gare de Bordeaux St-Jean. Bordeaux’s stunning railway station and busy square in front. I had a really good meal at the Taverne du MIDI next door. The location was excellent for transport links to and from Bordeaux and for visiting Bordeaux too. Breakfast was definitely the best I had while staying in Bordeaux . A beautiful dining room and anything and everything you could want for breakfast. They even did a cooked English breakfast ! If you’re staying in Bordeaux this hotel is a very good choice.

The hotel is very well located near the station. But even so it´s a nice walk to the center of Bordeaux with all its restaurants. It's a historic hotel with a beautiful staircase. The personnel is very kind and helpful.

It was very hot that day and the room was very hot, located on the first floor with a view of the station. We left the window open but then we had a lot of street noise . But nevermind, we managed to sleep through it.

Very smart little hotel, close to the train station and bus stop. Whole place was very clean, the room though not big was very well equipped with everything that you would need for a short stay. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was really good!

We stayed one night, I cannot fault the hotel. The area outside the hotel was a bit rough but no more than you would expect for an area outside a train station in a big city.
