The hotel was just across the road from the train station and tram,so the location was perfect for our needs. I don’t think I have ever slept in a more comfortable bed! And the quality of the bed linen was fantastic too. Beautiful bathroom also.

One minor point - the huge double bed only had one bedside light, the other light was a lamp that stood on the floor, which was awkward to switch on and off from the bed. The breakfast was poor value for money and nothing special.

We stayed in the Junior King suite. Very nice room with an extra large comfortable bed. The location is great for public transport. Not so much if you want to walk to the main attractions,some areas felt a bit unsafe. The staff was great,especially the guy that checked us in and offered us ice tea(can’t remember his name).

The cleanliness of the room was not great. Crumbs on the sofa and carpet,dirty window,the iron I was given was stained. The room is not soundproof. You can’t hear the street but you can hear your neighbours stomping up and down the stairs. Also the coffee machine is very loud,if your neighbours decide to have a cup of coffee at midnight you’ll hear that. The description of our room said that the room would have a balcony but it didn’t.

As everyone comments it is across the road from the train station, I anrrived from Geneva on a flight and caught the 30direct bus from Bordeaux airport, which stops opposite at the train station to make it super easy. An incredibly easy experience. The Mercure chain is global, this one has the French style down pat. Very nice quality of produce served in the restaurant at breakfast. The tea offered was a lovely touch as it was very hot at the time of visit. Location is perfect for day trips, I managed to go on a trip to Dunes du Pilat and do tasting tours and cram in a couple of Michelin restaurant bookings in the 3 days I stayed here. There are a couple fantastic Bakeries nearby within walking distance and a Paul Boulangerie opposite at the train station.

The layout was a little odd of the room and wish there was a lotion provided. However as most companies are moving to be “greener”, providing amenities upon request is expected… most people have their favorites.

An incredibly pleasant experience. I have stayed in hotels from the Mercure chain before, but this one has the French stamp of style, seriousness, exceptional quality of services and products served in the restaurant. The location is perfect for lovers of day trips by train, for the transfer to the airport, the quality-price ratio, very good, the whole stay was flawless.

If I were to look really chubby, I'd find that the only thing that was paradoxically missing was some body lotion. I can't find another lack no matter how hard I look :)

Breakfast was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable.

The room is dark, and not because of the excellent blackout curtains. No wall art. Now two negatives: the have a water dispenser for filtered and sparkling water on our floor. Even though I told the desk, after three days, it was neither fixed nor had a sign saying it was not working. Second, they offer Chromecast to each room, using both the QR code and the WiFi code, it connected with the wrong room. I told the desk, it was not fixed three nights later.

Great staff at the Mercure! Sasha and Angel were super helpful during our check in and later answering French language questions and recommendations about local restaurants. We only stayed one night but found the hotel to be clean and in good repair. The lounge/dining area had several board games and we enjoyed playing Monopoly in French!

Room color scheme was a bit dark.

The location was excellent - very close to the station where there were lots of restaurants. The room was excellent. We had a connecting room for our children which was perfect.

The breakfast was a little understaffed. Some things had run out and needed replacing. The lady working was doing her best but seemed like she could have done with some help.

The hotel was very chic had very nice decor and very environmentally conscious. Each room was given a large glass bottle of water which could be refilled at the filtered water station on level 1 and 3. Hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the station and tram, and there’s also a cafe across the alley. The room faced away from the main road so it was extremely quiet throughout the stay. There is no bar fridge in the room, but if you need to keep anything in the fridge eg medication the staff is will be able to arrange for it to be kept in the hotel fridge. Overall it was a very comfortable stay.

It was right next to the train station, which was very convenient for an early morning train. Despite the proximity, the room was quiet, we couldn't hear the trains at all. The room was stylish and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Nothing, would stay here again without hesitation.

The proximity to the train station and to brasseries. We arrived around 9 pm and were thankful to still be able to have dinner and drinks nearby. Happily, the neighborhood isn't seedy like you would expect near a train station. Bordeaux is pretty chill. The front desk folks were young and super friendly!
