Booked last minute due to a Toulouse airport run for the family. As soon as I had booked Christian contacted me. I had requested a quiet room but unfortunately it was the night of the village fete and there was going to be music/pa etc. I needn't have worried. We attended the fete and had a drink then off to bed and slept soundly. The bed was firm but comfortable, soft square pillow. We agreed breakfast at 9, and in fact slightly overslept! The room was spacious and had some nice period touches. The floor was beautiful, almost a work of art in itself. Great modern en-suite completed the room. It was all spotless. Continental breakfast was fine, there was enough coffee! Christian was an attentive host even though we were there for such a short time. We had room 1 at the end of the corridor, no views but that didn't matter as we had the windows shut to keep out the noise of the fete.

Being picky, maybe the choice of two pastries instead of one and a fruit slice in the continental breakfast. But that's about it!

This was a beautiful house. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a great en suite shower room. We had cycled there and Christian prepared an evening meal on our request that was just what we needed. The garden is a peaceful and tranquil place to relax and unwind. The new pool was a surprise bonus for cooling off and completes the perfect package that this property offers. Christian was a superb host and even packed some quiche for us to take on the last leg of our cycle tour through France. We would highly recommend

A fabulous old country / village house hotel in a rural setting with a very flexible and attentive host. Christian made us welcome between 10 and 11 pm- essential for us with a family and trailer touring through France, we have been locked out of a hotel before so hospitality later at night was absolute key. Very tastefully furnished and a luxury jacuzzi bath thrown in with our room too.

The host was super nice and helpful. He made us a great dinner and breakfast. The bed was spacious and comfortable and everything was clean.

The only thing that we have as negative is that the Internet wasn't working properly. This probably could have been fixed easily if we'd asked, but since we were on a get-away trip, we really didn't care and therefore never brought it up.

Booked last minute to arrive before midnight, the owner gave me a call and confirmed that he will wait for me. The place is a renovated old house turned into a small family hotel. Breakfast was very good, french standard. Wifi was not really fast and stable, but that's fine taking into account an countryside location. Close enough to Carcassone and wineries.

We stayed at the B&B La Grande Maison as we explored the beautiful surroundings for a couple of days. We had a spacious room w comfortable bed and a big bathroom. The property has a new small pool which is much appreciated to chill by after a long day hiking. The the owner Christian is very friendly and easygoing.

The hotel really captured the atmosphere of life in a small French village at harvest time. It was the most authentic experience I have ever had in France. The staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and delivered an excellent French breakfast

It was my second time in Grande Maison and I was happy to return. Warm welcome, kind host, very good dinner and breakfast ! The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, great views going up to the Pyrenees :)

Everything sparkled! The room was large and decorated beautifully. The bathroom was also large and every touch was there.

Unfortunately it was a very hot day and the room was very hot. No air conditioning. A fn was provided. We opened all of the large windows which was very helpful except because the room faced the village church the bells were rung loudly on the hour and half hour. Sleeping was very interrupted.

Our room was exceptional — decor, presentation, artwork. The bed was supremely comfortable. Our host was attentive and considerate — a lovely man. Dinner and breakfast were just right. The village was authentically French and peaceful.
