Chateau La Grande Clotte was in a beautiful location. When we arrived Julie and her family gave us a really warm welcome including their lovely dog. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed, breakfast was good and fresh everyday. The pool and patio area was a really nice place to spend time looking out over the vineyard with lots of different places to sit. The wine was fantastic and the honesty bar is a great idea. Julie also arranged a fantastic bike ride and wine tasting workshop. Would really recommend both of these activities. Julie and Mathieu have created a really wonderful place and would highly recommend staying here.

What an incredible experience! The owners have put so much care into creating a beautifully finished place, with lovely accommodation and thoughtful touches like Netflix, a pool with vineyard views, and a fantastic breakfast spread of fresh pastries, eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereals, and great coffee. And of course the wine! Sitting on the terrace at sunset, overlooking the pool and vineyards with a glass of their gorgeous merlot, was easily the highlight of my road trip through France. We had a wonderful week at the vineyard Château La Grande Clotte. The suites were big, beautiful furnited and clean. We felt like home. We could use a kitchen in case we stayed with wine and cheese at the sociable dining table or on the terrace with a stunning view of the vineyards. Definitely recommend the suggested bike tour and the tour around the vineyard with Julie. The château ist perfectly located to do day trips to the ocean, Bordeaux or around the wine area. Julie was a great host, who always had great tips for us (trust her with her restaurant tips - we had such great dinner).

Incredible place to stay amongst the vineyards. The hosts have done an amazing job restoring the place, bringing it up to speed with all the mod cons you'd expect whilst retaining all of the old charm of years gone by. Lovely pool setting and event space. We particularly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, almost hostel like but in a chateau - food, wine and bicycle tour were all very enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and organic! The rooms were well appointed and had everything we could want. We would highly recommend.

We loved the small venue! Perfect when traveling with others to a destination wedding. The location,pool and staff were amazing and being right in the vineyard enchanting!

One of the rooms didn’t have a closet. This would have been a problem had we not been a large group and could share.

We had a wonderful stay at the chateau! We were a family of 4 and while it was tight, they accommodated us and made us feel at home. Our two children (3 & 1) were in heaven as there were lots of toys and books for them to play with. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the breakfast was lovely. Highly recommend if you are staying in the area.

A gorgeous, recently restored guesthouse in the heart of the Bordeaux countryside. Clean and modern bedroom and bathroom. Quiet swimming pool overlooking the vineyard. Healthy, tasty breakfast options. Really friendly and helpful owners. Good location for visiting local villages and vineyards.

Honestly we loved everything. Our only suggestion would be to provide a few more hooks/hangers for hanging up clothes.

From the reception by the owners to the recommendations and wonderful breakfast, it was a perfect stay. The location is breathtaking, the room is incredibly comfortable with all amenities one could wish for. We weren't able to join the tour of the vineyard but I will definitely come back and stay again. Highly recommended!

The property is set in a very beautiful and peaceful setting with really friendly owners, who were always available to provide helpful tips (the bike tour was so much fun) The facilities were amazing, breakfast was delicious and all made even better by a very friendly dog hanging out Couldn’t recommend this place more

We had a wonderful few days at the Chateau learning about, and trying, their wines and relaxing around the pool and vineyard. Our afternoon picnic on the electric bikes was a real highlight. Thank you for your hospitality Julie and Mathieu ...and Pampa the dog
