What a beautiful hotel with such lovely staff. We arrived at a rubbish time (3am) after a bit of a disaster of a journey. The hotel communication was very good, ensuring us that we could still arrive and be welcomed. When we did finally get there, we had a friendly, warm welcome, allowing us to get to the room and settle in. The room itself was spectacular (what a bathroom - the best bath I have ever had the joy of using, and I do consider myself something of a bath specialist) with a great bed and a brilliant amount of space. More storage than you could possibly use - I'm not sure my entire wardrobe at home would have filled it, so don't worry if you've overpacked. We had breakfast one day, definitely on the sweeter side of breakfast, but a great showcase of French patisserie. The rooms throughout the hotel were beautiful. Brilliant location in the heart of Nimes, which is a lovely city.

The size of our room, and the actual property itself is magnificent! It's an old mansion turned into a hotel. Rouge was an amazing experience for us! Staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was good for exploring the main city attractions.

The air conditioner didn't work that well, and our room was hot and stuffy. The airflow was nice (later at night) once we opened the windows. However, the noise from the street kept us awake two nights in a row (street cleaners, party goers from the local restaurants/bars). The blinds don't fully block the light, and it was very bright.

We had the most special time in the St George’s Presidential Suite during our wedding. The room is absolutely stunning, the decor is beautiful and there is so much space. I got ready with 10 of my friends and family on the morning of my wedding and it was the most amazing time! We had loads of room and the hotel staff were amazing in accommodating this and allowing suppliers to come into the room whilst we were getting ready. We then used it as our honeymoon suite the night of our wedding. It really was the most perfect place to host my wedding preparations and to stay with my husband as newlyweds, I felt extremely lucky to have found somewhere this incredible, spacious and a very good price considering its a 5 star hotel and everything it offered. The staff were all wonderful and the service was brilliant! Thank you so much for such a beautiful stay, we can’t wait to come back in the future - this place will now always hold a special place in our hearts!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Arnaud and Lise were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is comfortable and welcoming with a spacious library available to sit and read/relax. There are a number of terraces to enjoy a drink or lunch. Breakfast is special sitting in a sunny court yard. Generous and varied choice of foods. Restaurants on site supurb. Room generous size and I had a terrace roof garden with table /chairs and loungers. Pleasant to sit out in. Room had coffee maker and welcome treats on arrival. I would definitely recommend a stay over at this hotel. Just outside on the street are cool and popular bars, small fun and unique.

Beautiful historical building in historical clean area. Atmosphere and staff were excellent.

The room was huge in size, but a bit disappointing because of limited lighting and small windows. Historical feeling but decoration was a collection of all decades starting from the 1960s. Of course, it doesn't harm any, but if heading to 5 stars historical experience, it's kind of failure. Breakfast was extremely beautiful and quality ingredients but quite limited.

Charming updated hotel in a grand old building right in downtown Nimes. Walking distance to all the major sites and excellent restaurants. A very, enthusiastic (young) staff who is always ready to please. The bistro Gigi on site is excellent and good valued. Closest overnight underground parking is 5+ minute walking distance away and 25 Euro a day. The hotel is located in the pedestrian only zone. The hotel is well situated for exploring the Nimes area and a short drive to Pont-du-Gard.

The location of this hotel is phenomenon, as is its architecture, staff, cleanliness, and services. The attention to detail was exquisite: they noted we were traveling with a toddler and left a tent and fun toys in our room, together with a personalized hand written note, for example. The breakfast was SO good too. I can’t recommend this place enough and we look forward to going back.

It was absolutely perfect. The only thing I didn’t like is that we couldn’t spend more time there!

The historic building is lovely and is very well preserved. The rooms are very spacious. The location in the centre of the old town is convenient but has bad noise issues at weekends (Room 6). The hotel moved us to the quiet side, the presidential suite, and we slept fine in luxury. Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed our meal in Gigi.

The swimming pool is tiny. The noise issues were dreadful on Friday in Room 6!

I loved how exceptionally clean the hotel is, how amazing the fragrance is, how close to the center it is, how polite and extremely helpful the staff are, they even found out I loved the soap brand they yes and gave me a free gift from the same brand (Fragonard). Honestly, everything was just perfect. Will definitely stay in this hotel every time I come to Nimes.

The hotel is located in a beautiful building, the stairs and ceiling are just wonderful; large, comfortable rooms; very friendly and attentive staff; perfect location for sightseeing

If your room’s windows face the street it can get pretty loud on Friday and Saturday nights; a pool - pretty small and located in the middle of the restaurant’s terrace so not really to be used in the lunch or dinner times
