Excellent location, quiet, comfortable room & good bathroom.

clearer information. Booked a hotel rather than air bnb as I knew we would arrive in the evening. Hotel details on booking.com said reception closed at 10.train was late, arrived at hotel at 9.45. All in darkness and locked. Note on door said closed at 9.30. In my panic of being without a hotel I couldn't get through on the phone. Fortunately I was able to use my phone data and emailed the contact. Received a quick reply with access codes and key box details but wasn't a great start. Not sure what I would've done if I couldn't use email.

The staff/ owner / manager - all were so friendly and helpful. Generous with information and Nimes Tips! The hotel has personality and a warmth about it that I found unique. The atmosphere in the reading room and breakfast room was so calm and the background music was ✅. I was only sorry I had to catch a flight and skipped the breakfast. Rooms clean and nicely furnished. Not as roomy as other hotel stays, but you cannot beat the central location. Absolutely ideal place for a stay over in Nimes. Gives you a base and you are steps away from the arena, shops, restaurants and bars. If going to a concert in the Arena - you are across the road.

I would request a front facing room next time. I imagine they have good views from the balcony. As it is beside the Arena and the concert noise is loud ( it did not affect me) - but worth checking if this is something that would impact your stay and night's sleep.

Excellent location for everything in Nîmes. Very comfortable bed. We knew about stairs, but if you have any mobility issues, do not stay above 1st floor.

We/They had previously confirmed an paid upgrade from second night. Unfortunately this had not been entered into their booking system. Daily housekeeping was a bit hit and miss. No towels, no toilet paper and one day bedroom door not shut, so without room safe, anybody could have walked in. WiFi kept dropping out on iPad, so constantly having to log back in.

Great location in historical Nîmes. Cute decoration in an antique French Belle Époque style. Friendly and helpful staff.

The fuel oil heating smells very strong though luckily not in my room. The double windows are still not enough to insulate the noisy bars on the square below the windows. Please provide earplugs. The unheated toilet separate from the bathroom is very Vieille France. But for night time pees it’s not a vibe.

The staff is very friendly and enthusiastic for providing assistance in my request. The breakfast offering lots kind of bread is a big fest to start a day. A warm greeting from the staff when leaving and coming back the hotel makes me feel pleasant.

Near the city center is an advantage as well as a disadvantage. The noise from street didn’t stop until 1:00 am. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.

Small friendly hotel. The location is excellent for access to all main points of interest in the heart of the city and close to many good restaurants. The room was a good size and had an atmosphere in keeping with its location in the old town. The decoration was in keeping with the historic nature of the building. A good selection was available for breakfast with personal service from the staff and good value

The bathroom was small though adequate There is no lift but the rooms are on just 2 floors up a wide staircase.

Everything! This is one of the loveliest Hotels I've stayed in anywhere. The location, between the Arena and the delightful old city of Nimes, is perfect. A restrained entry porch gives access to a colourful hallway and stairwell, off which is a comfortable lounge area and the well appointed breakfast room. There is a definite sense of design and colour coordination throughout. The reception counter is charmingly discreet with a bowl of chocolates to tempt one! Killian and his partner Lily were superb hosts, providing local recommendations and the most delicious breakfast! My room, though simply decorated, was very comfortable and sufficiently spacious for a solo traveler. This is a charming, understated hotel of character.

Excellent location, very nice room/atmosphere in hotel and friendly and helpful staff. Nîmes is a beautiful city with romantic streets, immaculately restored historic facades and of course the impressive Roman buildings it is famous for. Large parts of the city center are pedestrianised, so it’s very comfortable to explore everything by foot (distances are short). Note that the hotel is at one of the most central squares with a number of great restaurants and bars. Windows are sound proof but better to ask for a room to the rear if you are noise sensitive at night.

Stop browsing and book this hotel straightaway. So central and yet quiet, just behind the amphitheatre. The decor is exquisite and the room size incredibly large. We had a wonderful stay.

Great location, friendly staff, comfortable & quiet room. Nice breakfast room and sitting space. Closed windows kept room quiet at night, event though clubs at adjacent streets were quite loud and there was a concert event at the Arena.

Due to pedestrian-only streets, access for taxi/Uber is limited (but not difficult) so do some planning
