The central staircase is a phenomenal, beautiful feature. Our room was clean and functional. It was a standard so not particularly large but absolutely fine for one night. Good to have a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities (although no Breakfast tea).

The shower was over the bath rather than a walk in which we would have preferred. It was hot in the evening but in the morning, presumably because of increased usage, it only ran cold for quite a while. I gave up after a cold shower but my partner was lucky as the hot water did come back on again. Whilst the hotel is in easy walking distance of the Roman Area of Nimes, in itself it isn’t in a particularly ‘friendly feeling’ area. No hotel parking is a drawback - the stated car parks are not next door.

The room was clean and comfortable. It included a terrace, which was a lovely place to sit when it was sunny. The location was perfect -- close to everything, yet a little off the main path, so it was quiet. The breakfast was excellent with many choices. The staff was exceptional -- very kind and helpful.

The room had no shower, as we knew. But the bathtub was very narrow, and it was difficult to use the sprayer in the bathtub without getting everything wet. This was the only issue though -- everything else was great.

Nice small hotel near the historic center. The room was clean, spacious. But there was no table and chairs where the three accommodated guests could sit. Unfortunately, the air conditioning did not work as it should in the heat, it turned off completely at night, it was difficult to sleep. Breakfast sufficient. Parking in the central underground car park approx. 400 m from the hotel. We would certainly appreciate it if the hotel offered at least two parking addresses for next time, so that we don't have to wander around the city in traffic looking for suitable parking. The city is beautiful, with small streets and driving a car in rush hour is not easy.

Fantastically unique place to stay! The old world with modern amenities. We loved or stay and found the room to be huge, comfortable, and quiet. The location of the hotel is perfect for wandering the inner city of Nimes.

Maybe access to parking could be described a bit better for those driving. The location is in the pedestrian area of Nimes and parking is a few blocks away. Not a problem, but a bit confusing when arriving at the hotel and finding limited parking to even drop your bags.

Beautiful old building with all the modern conveniences. Spacious rooms and very comfortable. Close walk to restaurants, shops and tourist spots. The staff were excellent. So helpful and kind.We had to leave very early before the breakfast time, but it was set up. My parents (need to eat with medications) offered to pay for a coffee and croissant. The staff kindly let them have a coffee and croissant no charge. It was a simply kind gesture that will always be thought off.

Helpful staff, excellent breakfast, comfy bed, spacious room, good location for sightseeing and best restaurants, staff generally helpful, very clean,the property is a magnificent historic elite palace

The toilet cubicle on the other side of the bedroom from the bathroom so you have to move to wash hands. A small sink in the toilet needs placing. The phone fitting to the wall was broken but despite a promise to fix it nothing was done. Window curtains not well fixed.

The buffet breakfasts were very good, with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, crepes, pancakes and delicious bagutte and croissants. The location was excellent, within walking distance of the station and the various Roman antiquities in Nimes. Our room (prestige Queen room) was super;equipped with a coffee maker and with an outside terrace. The bed was very comfortable. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Nothing bad to report

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was the most comfortable bed during our entire France vacation. The room was very spacious and the location was very convenient. The parking garage was just a 5 minute walk away.

Our room faced the courtyard, and we could hear guests at night sitting in the courtyard talking noisely. Luckily they finally went up stairs before we went to sleep. Sound definitely travels in this hotel.

Spacious room, was quiet, had a balcony. Friendly, helpful staff. Was walkable to sights and restaurants. The hotel was close to the Place des Esclafidous with nice restaurants. The elevator was spacious.

Bathroom was open to the bedroom on one side with a separate toilet on the other side of bedroom with no basin in the toilet room so had to walk to the other side of the bedroom to wash your hands.

Very friendly staff who are more than happy to help with advice on where to go ( including booking restaurants). The rooms are also very clean with a/c which helps.

The hotel provides breakfast. However whilst there are good restaurants nearby it was a shame the hotel itself does not offer more food ( although there are drinks). The newly refitted rooms are very smart but the flush on the toilets need sorting as they don’t always work.
