I have stayed 4 times with family travelling with our dogs. If you stay in the old part of the chateau this is better for dogs as one of my dogs is very large and need the extra space and cooler rooms as there is no air-conditioning. The swimming pool is huge, there is a small woodland to walk the dogs and the restaurant is also good.

I mentioned I have stayed 4 times, one one visit we had two interconnecting rooms in the newer part of the hotel which was not suitable for my dogs. There was no air-conditioning and when we left the window open on the first night the room had a lot of bugs. We didn't make the mistake again but worth passing on.

The pool and the grounds, the receptionist with the dark hair , tall and wears black rimmed glasses was so lovely.

The grounds are vast but wherever you walk there are signs saying picnic forbidden. This is on every table on the huge lawns. Now I understand the restaurant has a very good name but as this is in the middle of no where I find it really unfriendly to have so many signs. Ones enough! We get it. You don't want us to eat food which hasn't come from the restaurant. I wasn't after a huge picnic but sometimes a small snack of fresh fruit , cake in the beautiful grounds would be lovely. Due to all the signs we purposely wouldn't spend in the restaurant on dinner or breakfast. 10 mins by car is Vouille with a lovely bistro. Food was delicious and we gave them our money.

A charming chateau is set in lovely grounds with a woodland area, which is good for walking our dogs.The swimming pool was fantastic and the restaurant was good too. We stayed two nights and will be staying another two on our way back. I tried to extend for a third night since we liked the place. However, they were unfortunately fully booked.

There isn't a minibar to cool drinks or a kettle to make tea or coffee in the room. However, the room we had in the original part of the chateau was fantastic.

Lovely position, off the main road, very quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant excellent. Loved the Cats,

Room was a little plain, we were in the main chateau. Stairs and corridors could do with a little more cleaning.

The property was beautiful and in a great location not far off the motorway as we were driving down to Portugal so just a nights stop. Perfect place for a dog, hige room, ground floor and fantastic grounds for walking.

Could do with a bit of dusting especially radiators and skirting in the bathroom but not a problem as everything else great.

We had a lovely comfortable room in the chateau with a balcony and lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Dinner in the hotel was truly excellent. Breakfast was taken out on the terrace. Very friendly welcome and extremely pleasant staff. The chateau is truly shabby-chic, but has a lovely atmosphere and is extremely comfortable.

Atmospheric location, great for a journey stopover.

Rooms not as good as the photo examples, seemed a bit expensive for what they were.

The hotel has a huge garden and in a very quiet location. The hotels policy to accept dogs very appreciated, and we got a big room in a separate building just as we asked for. We stayed in this holel before, so we knew what to expect, and all expectations fulfilled.
