Lovely old hotel, full of character, with interesting decor, paintings and furniture. Our room was attractive and spacious, with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. It was close to the roof terrace, which is set out with plants and seating. The location was great for easy access to the station, cathedral, museums and river. Breakfast was good.

Although we knew that there was no lift, the climb to the fourth floor, with another set of stairs inside our room were quite challenging. Our room, 403, had a bath with a shower attachment, but a low angled ceiling and no curtain, necessitating sitting in the bath to shower. It wouldn’t put us off visiting again but worth knowing if you were booking. Like other reviewers, we’d have liked a kettle in the room.

Lovely little traditional hotel in an excellent location. Price was very fait considering it's a very close distance to the main square. Staff were great as was the breakfast. Many thanks.

Room was a little dated and tired in places but it was clean and comfortable. No lift and very steep stairs. We had two rooms on the top floor and it was a bit of a hike with the bags. But they did communicate this before we went which was good and it's no more than you would expect from a historic, traditional property.

We knew there was not a lift and this in itself was not a problem. However, if you are on the top floors you would expect a hospitality tray ( water, kettle, coffee etc) to have basic comforts without having to leave the room. (There was nothing in our room to suggest there was room service available). On our first stay ( en route), the room was spotless. On our return journey we stayed in a different room and, whilst beautifully decorated, it needed a good clean.

This was our second trip to the ‘Bee hotel’ and we came back because it is the opposite of a chain hotel. It has a lot of character and feels really homely. Just a short walk from the main square and cathedral. There is easy parking outside (pay in daytime, free overnight). Our room was nice, warm and it was great to have a bath. The breakfast was good and included scrambled eggs. The staff were friendly and we were glad to be told about the Christmas market and to see the illuminations at the cathedral which were amazing (if you’re staying at Christmas)

Not a big problem but it would have been good to have a kettle or coffee machine in the room.

Although the hotel did not have lifts, as we had quiet a bit of luggage the reception went out of their way to give us a room on a lower floor. The hotel was amazing, i loved the decor, the attention by the staff, the room was perfect, i would definitely recommend,

One Croissant and half a baguette at breakfast. When we asked for another Croissant we were told we only get one each.

excellent location in Orleans, very clean and large room, with mostly fascinating and warm style interiors. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were also very nice.

only minor details. Some finishes in the bathroom are not as elegant as in the bedroom and the room arrangement is little extravagant (with entrance in the big bathroom with bathtube, wc was in a little separate room).

We loves the oldie-worldie decor, the charm of the building and antiquities, the roof terrace, the central location and the juliette balcony.

The staircase to the third floor was a bit challenging, creaky floorboards and there was a little bit of black mould starting in the shower that the cleaning team need to get on top of and treat before it gets worse.

The location was very near to the station and was handy from that point of view although it had a tendency to attract various unsavoury characters. The breakfast was excellent but it was charged extra to get the room rate.

There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Although one could ask for a free tea or coffee down in the hotel lounge.

Honestly, I couldn’t have been happier. This beautiful little hotel oozes with character. It is filled with antiques and objet d’arts. Throughout, it has bee wallpaper to reflect its name. My room and bathroom were small but absolutely charming and cosy. I had a little balcony, overlooking g the pretty street. The staff too are sweet, friendly and welcoming. I paid extra for breakfast - which was organic and pretty good. It’s right in the heart of the city in a great area for eating, shopping and sight seeing. You can park cheaply and easily on the street. The meters take cards.

The staff were very welcoming both at check in and at breakfast. The hotel is steeped in history with old winding staircases and pictures of the hotel from days gone by to an amazing roof terrace which we were fortunate to have use of as we were on the 4th floor. Breakfast was good and plentiful set you up for the rest of the day.

Not any fault of the hotel but my own fault for booking last minute we ended up in the attic of the hotel so maybe like the 5th floor the room was spacious but the bathroom was in the eaves so showering was a kneel down in the bath but hey I'm 6ft 5 apart from that the room was a good size.
