Overall, a nice stay and the reception team were very helpful and went above and beyond with upgrading my room from a standard to a superior single. The room is well cleaned and has everything one needs.

1. When I arrived, air con was set at 17C and it was freezing in the room. It didn’t react to my attempts to increase the temperature. When i spoke to the lady at the reception, she told temperature could only be adjusted by her (???) and brought it up to 20C at my request. In the evening I spoke to another guy at the reception who promised to call an engineer and fix it in the morning, which never happened. 2. Very noisy neighbours! On both nights I ask people to keep their voices down as it was impossible to get any rest with hearing every word they were saying next door. I appreciate it’s an old building with really thin walls, but the hotel should think of something to make the rooms more sound proof.

This hotel is located in a great spot! Across the street is a fabulous Italian restaurant, Villa Dondelli, serving the most delicious lunch and dinners. The hotel has a collection of very nice and helpful staff ready to offer directions. We especially enjoyed working with Oleg who patiently helped us get our feet in the right direction as we explored Paris. Room was small but then we were there to explore the city. For the most part, nice air condition and great room service.

Small room but we managed and didnt stay in there long

The location is excellent. I walked to most of the sites I wanted to see, or hopped on the Metro - there are several lines nearby. While the room was typical Parisian size, the bed was larger than I expected and comfortable - I slept very well! I had a lot of luggage, so the lift was a major bonus.

There was some kind of ventilation issue going on at the building across the street that was a bit noisy. There is very little soundproofing, and I could hear everything in the hallway. I’m not a fan of leaving my key at the desk when I leave for the day, but that’s not a big deal.

The hotel is well located close to the opera/louvre and my favourite quarter with my fav restaurants. The room was a single room, so I didn't expected to be big or spacious - even though the bathroom was pretty much next to my bed it didn't bother me that much as I am not the tallest person. However the room was clean and bed was comfy - only the smell was bit off from the previous guest - needed to run the AC for a bit longer for a better air. The staff was super friendly from the checkin and throughout my stay.

Staff were super friendly. The room is tiny. But functional, clean, well equipped including air conditioning. It looks cosy. Bathroom small. But well stocked with amenities. For parisian standards its all more than good. The location is unbeatable. The mini bar in the room is actually stocked with a small selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Od definitely come again!!

Its rather noisy. One can hear the next room/street noises clearly. But then again this is not unique in Paris and should not block from booking here I think

We stayed in a room for 4 persons - two large and comfortable beds. Politeness of the staff, comfortable mattress, two pillows - soft and hard, clean bathroom and towels, daily cleaning, parking. Possibility to sleep with the window open, as the street is quiet. Breakfast - we arrived late and the staff was already cleaning up breakfast, but they got everything back for us, added oranges for juice, ham and fried scrambled eggs!

Clean curtains require washing, clean walls just need to be wiped down.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was modern. The thermostat worked and kept the room at an optimal temperature. The front desk personnel were fluent in English, which is always nice. The location, just a couple of blocks from a Metro station and within walking distance of the Louvre, is ideal for the sightseeing tourist.

Because the room is small, storage is pretty much non-existent except for a closet. It would have been nice if the luggage could have fit under the bed to get it out of the way, especially with floor space at a premium.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was great, near main attractions. We have been to Paris a couple of times, so we know our way around. We didn't use transportation at all; we enjoyed walking everywhere. Many cafes and restaurants were nearby. The hotel is outdated but decorated in a French style. The room is small and crowded, but it provides everything you need for your comfort.

The suite was spacious and well-appointed, providing ample room for our family to relax and unwind. The comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep, and the abundance of chairs and armchairs allowed everyone to find their own cozy spot. The inclusion of a refrigerator was a convenient feature, and the presence of an air conditioner kept the room at a pleasant temperature throughout our stay. The highlight of the suite was the huge bathtub, which provided a luxurious and indulgent bathing experience. What truly set Hotel Ascot Opera apart was the exceptional staff. Charles, in particular, made our stay memorable. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with a warm and positive attitude. His efficiency and availability were commendable, as he promptly addressed all our requests and inquiries. Charles went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed and that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfasts at the hotel were a delightful experience. The food was tasty and fresh. It was evident that great care was taken in providing a satisfying breakfast spread. It was our daughter's birthday during our stay, and the hotel made it even more special. We found balloons, beautiful birthday postcards, and a delicious cake waiting for us in the room upon arrival. This thoughtful gesture added an extra touch of joy and made our daughter's birthday memorable. The hotel's attention to cleanliness was commendable. Our rooms were cleaned daily, and the towels and bed sheets were changed regularly. This level of cleanliness and attention to detail contributed to a comfortable and hygienic environment. The hotel's location was another highlight. Situated within walking distance from the Louvre, Galleries, and several metro stations, it provided easy access to major attractions and convenient transportation options. This central location enhanced our overall experience, al

While the suite was spacious and comfortable, having bathrobes would have added an extra touch of luxury and convenience. It would be a valuable addition to the room amenities. Another area that could be addressed is the English proficiency level of the buffet staff and cleaning ladies. Although the staff members were friendly and helpful, there were some instances where communication became challenging due to language barriers. Enhancing the English language skills of the staff in these areas would greatly improve the overall guest experience and ensure smoother interactions.

We were very happy with the hotel and staff. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and spoke to us in english when they knew we spoke very little French. They were able to check us in early since our flight to Paris arrived early. Our quadruple room was clean and very comfortable for the four of us. The location of the hotel is great. Very close to the Metro, many restaurants, shopping and tourist sites. It was cute that the cleaning staff tucked in my daughter's stuffed monkey when they cleaned the room :)
