Hotel de Montesquieu is complete perfection! Everything about this enchanting oasis is dreamy, from the charming and amazing staff, to the stunningly gorgeous rooms and beyond. This was our first ever visit to Paris, and we are now utterly, madly in love with the city, largely due to our incredible stay here. We have highly recommended Montesquieu to all of our friends and on several blogs, and are already planning our next trip to Paris, which will be so easy now that we know exactly where we’ll be staying - at our very favorite hotel. Staying at Hotel de Montesquieu was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. A special thank you to Yiannis at the front desk, who greeted us so kindly upon arrival and made us feel instantly at home. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, helping us plan and prepare a few surprises that turned out perfectly — their kindness and attention to detail made all the difference. I celebrated my birthday during our stay, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. Everything felt so thoughtful and personal. I was touched to receive a lovely welcome gift and was also pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade — such gestures made me feel truly appreciated and pampered. The hotel itself is a gem — a beautifully decorated boutique hotel with an elegant yet cozy atmosphere. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, blending classic Parisian charm with modern comfort. Its location is fantastic, just a short walk from the Champs-Élysées, making it ideal for exploring the city. What really sets this place apart, though, is the personal touch. It’s a small, friendly hotel where you feel truly cared for, not just like another guest. We left with wonderful memories and a deep appreciation for the team who made our stay so special. We were very happy about the whole experience. what I loved was the bed - very comfy! All the things you might need is there. The staff is amazing, helpful and very friendly. They offered help with the babysitting service, which is not common, and they assisted us with every need. We were surprised by a very nice upgrade and a bottle of champagne as a welcome drink, which was something unexpected - and melted our hearts. We travel a lot because of work purposes and such hospitality is a gem, not often found in hotels. They deserve the best rating. The hotel was 10/10 and if we come back to Paris, we will choose this place. Highly recommend!

I travel to Paris for work frequently. Stayed at 15+ different hotels in the 8th arrondissement. For sure, Montesquieu is the best one! It is slightly more expensive than others but definitely worth it. I stayed in room 503. + Large room (in Paris standards, very large room); large bathroom and a large closet + A lot of light in the room (a rarity in Paris!) + A very well and tastefully done mix of modern and antique furniture + Coffee machine + Very clean rooms and bathroom + Good water pressure in the shower + Slippers And the fact that it is less than 100m away from our office is yet another big plus :)

- Internet broke up a few times - One of the towels was dirty (I am sure this was an honest oversight)

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. On arrival we were given a room upgrade - they said it was because I was celebrating a birthday (albeit belated) and also because it was our anniversary. I can only imagine this information was picked up from an email I had sent the hotel weeks earlier when asking for recommendations for a lovely restaurant for our anniversary. That, for me, is attention to detail and excellent customer service - which is so often lacking elsewhere. The room was beautiful and the gesture hugely appreciated.

Breakfast was continental - a great choice. Some tables were set out at sofas, which were maybe a little low to eat at - minor issue though - we moved the tableware to a table and chairs one morning - mainly because I have a bad back. Others probably wouldn’t even see it as an issue.

Quiet, comfy bed, hot shower and good location.

The Montesquieu is located just off the Champs Élysées and is within easy reach of public transport that will take you just about everywhere. It is a small but very well run hotel, with a friendly and helpful reception, excellent service from the breakfast team, very comfortable rooms (we were in 402) and a very good breakfast. It is rare to find such an hotel in this part of Paris that has that little extra to make the stay very comfortable and enjoyable.

A very nice butique hotel with privacy. Excellent location, the heart of the city is within walking distance. Quiet and cosy suite, very comfortable king size bed and hearty breakfast on requiest.

At checking in the receptionist made a copy of our debit card saying that it was part of the hotel's policy and quite normal in Paris. When we expressed our scepticism he said that instead a deposit of 500 Euros would cover costs of a possible damage (we might make during our stay) and if we wished to opt for that instead of letting him make a photocopy of our debits card and passports. We did not want to escalate our disagreement so we asked him to tear off the copy and so he did. Whatever the case was it was more than unusual and was a severe disrespect of our sensitive and private data. (We had no objections to making a copy of our passports - name: Schnemann). The case happened 22 September 2023 between 11.00 and 12.00 in the morning.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel while I was on vacation. The hotel is situated on a quiet street and is in reasonable walking distance to multiple metro stations, restaurants, cafes, etc. I booked a junior suite and thought the size of the room was comfortable for my stay. Per American standards, the room would be considered a standard "king" sized room (i.e. aprx 300-350 sq ft) which was enough for myself as I was traveling solo. Overall cleanliness, decor, ambiance of both my suite and the hotel were nice. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful throughout the entirety of my time there. I had an early morning arrival time and the staff worked to get me checked in ahead of schedule and offered me coffee and snacks while I rested in the lovely lobby sitting room. They were patient with my small attempts at speaking French and spoke English when my understanding of the language failed me. And while I'm not much of a morning person, when I did take advantage of their breakfast, they had a good variety of options to choose from (i.e. eggs, sausage, pastries, yogurt, cereals, juice, coffee, etc.). I think this hotel is a solid option for those looking for a small, boutique hotel vibe.

Nothing of note really. One observation was that I didn't notice any in-room dining options on their website, so if you're someone who relishes in that amenity and wants in-room dining available at all hours of the day, I would reconfirm with the hotel before booking.

The location was excellent, just off the champs-Élysées in a very quiet side street. The property itself was very quiet and sound proofed. We had a junior suite which had plenty of room and wardrobe space, arm chairs and a large sofa to spread out on, a full bathroom, full length windows, mini fridge, tea & coffee facilities in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The suite looks exactly like the photos, the decor is beautiful.

Nothing at all. We can’t wait to return!
