This was a really nice hotel in a quiet street quite close to Place de la République but well away from the noise and bustle and inevitable manifestations there. We were warmly welcomed, and our room was nice, quite large by Parisian standards with a good bathroom, all spotlessly clean. We were at the back which overlooked a large yard area behind the nearby postal sorting office. There was a big window with a pretty balcony rail and nice colours, mirrors, free mini bar and coffee machine. The staff we met were all lovely and the room convenient and well appointed. Really a bargain at the price we paid, too. Don't let me negatives below put you off: it's really a nice place to stay.

I found the coffee, bread and pastries at breakfast quite poor, a shame when there are so many good bakeries in the area. The bathroom door has a strong closer - I suppose to stop the fire alarm from reacting to steamy showers - and it made it a right pain going in and out. The fridge inside a closed cupboard got very hot: it needs better ventilation.

The room was overall pretty nice. Expect a handheld shower, daily coffee, chips, and snacks for those long walks in Paris. The area was nice but around the corner is a somewhat sketch under-bridge area that wasn't the nicest to traverse. Staff was overall nice and generally very helpful. Free umbrellas were useful for some of the rainier days during our stay.

I didn't like the soap in the shower and on our last night the AC seems to have broken in the hotel. It was a bit challenging to convey this the staff at the time, but luckily it was fine that night. The coffee was ok, but I would venture out to get other coffee if possible.

Absolutely gorgeous little boutique hotel. Great location, surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops but tucked away on a quiet side street with no noise at night. Close to the republique metro station. I chose the smallest room as I was traveling alone, however, it was plenty big for a solo traveler. Kettle, fridge, and hairdryer provided in room. Also free water, coke, crisps, tea and coffee! Topped up daily. Breakfast was fantastic, good quality ingredients, huge choice and so many different teas, at least 10! But best of all were the staff, friendly, willing to answer any question and offered recommendations for local restaurants. Huge thank you to Samy, receptionist. Who continued to speak French to me to help with my language studies! Much appreciated. This really is a gem of a hotel, and deserves 5 stars.

Nothing, it was a perfect 3 night stay.

The location corresponded to my expectations - 12 mins from Gare de L'Est and walking distance to metro stations. It was close to lots of nice restaurants and bars. The breakfast was ok. The external isolation of the rooms was good, I didn't hear a lot from the street. The air con worked well. The staff were nice. There is a nice big bathroom to change before the trip and we could leave our luggage in a special room on our last day and when we arrived early too.

I would suggest to have labels for cheeses and cold meats as I wasn't sure what I was eating. The cucumbers and other veggies were cut in very thick slices and were very dry or a bit old tasting. The internal sound isolation in the room is very bad, I was in a small individual room and could hear people talking in the corridor as if they were with me. The bathroom was a bit hard to move around.

The place was beautiful. Really nice vibe throughout the entire hotel. Breakfast was good, had all the basics. The staff was exceptional. Rooms were fairly clean, however, things like the carpet and the wood floor are starting to show its age and make it look dirtier than it actually is. Quiet area, walking distance to many beautiful locations. Took us about 30 mins to walk to the Louvre. It's about a 12-15 min metro ride (that's with walking to the metro). Great affordable and fancy restaurants surrounding the location for whatever your budget is.

Spacious rooms in an excellent neighborhood that's great to explore! I stayed during the winter and appreciated being able to open the window for fresh air, as the hotel tended to run warm. The WiFi worked well for scrolling at night, and the beds were comfortable.

The neighborhood itself is great—10th and 3rd is a fun area to explore—but the buildings surrounding the hotel take away from its appeal and definitely lower the value of its location. The room overlooked a school’s recess area, which was an odd choice and meant being woken up early by screaming kids—definitely not ideal for a relaxing stay. On top of that, the hotel is right next to an underpass that reeks of urine, making the walk back feel gross and uninviting.

First time last August was perfect, this time in November it was a different room, which the toilet is separate from the shower unit which I didn't like. The he reception team is helpful as usual except one of them this time. Breakfast is good but doesn't have variates for Muslims, I like the idea of keeping drinks till the evening.

I liked how welcoming it was. I reserved a mini and it sure was mini! The bathroom was quite a tight fit but overall the room was just right. Bed was comfy and I really loved how they provided complimentary water and snacks! The fridge was amazing to have as well. The staff was also very friendly and provided excellent customer service.

Just the small bathroom, but it worked just fine.

Stayed in 2 different rooms because the carpet was wet in the first room. Contrary to some of the comments, pictures reflect well the room. The rooms are indeed small, as in all the hotels I have stayed in Paris. But the rooms were cleaned and breakfast was good for 14€ (the only issue is the way they cook the eggs). Location is very good. It’s a residential/local area, not many tourist around, full of restaurants and bars but still close to the touristic attractions (Notre-dame is a 30min walk). For 100€ a night (no breakfast included) I think it was a very good deal.

Hotel Taylor is amazingly good value for money - the location is near-ideal (walking distance from the Gare du Nord if you don't have too much luggage, but the neighborhood vibe is Marais/residential). the staff are pleasant and professional, the breakfast is reasonably nutritious and tasty, the rooms are clean, the coffee/tea/snacks in the rooms are simple but functional and very welcome, and it has a nice combination of old-Paris charm and more modern conveniences.

Nothing comes to mind - for the price, Hotel Taylor is pretty unbeatable.
