This hotel is surprising: friendly people, early check-in was possible, no fuss. I waited for a delivery - no problem. I stored my bags the entire day - no problem. Yes, there are stairs and no elevator, yes the rooms are small but for a one star hotel so close to the Marais - what exactly do people expect? Some of the bad comments make me laugh. 4* service at 1* prices? You obv get what you pay for - only here a little more! I arrived early and they allowed me into my room immediately (that is the first time in 15 years travelling to Paris that this has happened to me). The room smelled clean and the floors were still damp - meaning cleaning was thorough. There were some soaps etc for shower and washing. The bathroom was small - but clean. I was one person, I stayed there one night. I was happy.

*no elevator, so if you have a huge suitcase, it would be a nice exercise. * have to leave the key every time you go out. even though staff is always at the counter 24/7, I didn't like that. * the toilet was not flushed when I stepped in the room. I hope this is just the careless mistake after cleaning. * nice location, restaurant, metro, market, everything is there. but since people smoke at the terrace in the restaurants a lot, once you step out of the hotel, this hurts your nose and throat. hotel itself was clean. don't smell anything. * about the quietness, it's all depending on the guest next to your room. first day, I heard their conversation clearly, but second day was fine.

Hotel Mimosa was very well located, right in the centre of Paris and easy accessible. We didn't book the breakfast but we would be able to get coffee for free every day and the receptionist even gave us two croissants on our last day for free! The room was very clean and comfortable and the cleaners would leave fresh towels and clean the room every day to a very high standard!

We were surprised when they asked us to leave the keys every time we would go outside but nothing happened! Also, the room we stayed in was on the 4th floor, with no lifts and the stairs are quite steep.

Very friendly staff, helpful, also the room was though on a smaller side, but had everything needed for a comfortable stay, very thought through, I enjoyed it. Even the stairs everyone complains about are a feature of themselves, and if you only need to climb them once a day, that's a free fitness. The location is close to metro and you can even walk to Notre Dame by foot, if you're sworn pedestrian like me.

I would have loved a hook by the entrance in addition to the hanger in the wardrobe, but that's just me, never can get enough of those.

The location is excellent, walking distance to many tourists attractions. My single room was on level one so no need to climb up many stairs. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Right outside the hotel is a laundromat, heaps of cafes/restaurants, pharmacy, grocery. The Metro is about 2mins walk. The area seems safe, though I didn't venture out late at night. The photos on the site are realistic.

The toilet, shower sink, and shower are together in one room with no division, and it's a very small room. If you're on the bigger side you may have difficulty sitting on the toilet bowl as the sink is right next to it and slightly blocking the toilet. I'm medium built but still had difficulty sitting on the toilet bowl. Other than that, the place is excellent.

Private and quiet close to public transport.

First, I was sent to an occupied room with someone's belongings in it. Which left me anxious that someone would be sent to my new allocated room by mistake, as when leaving the property, you were asked to leave the keys with reception. This caused a lot of unnecessary anxieties. There were also sharp edges upon entering and exiting the shower where it looks like the skirting boards have been ripped off and had caught on my clothing multiple times.

Good location, close to the metro station so it was easy to access other parts of the city + several restaurants, bars and cafés nearby The room for 4 people was bigger than I expected, there were 2 large beds, a sofa, 2 desks and an en-suite bathroom of course so we were quite comfortable The room was clean overall, with towels and bedsheets included with the room. They also provided small shampoos. They cleaned up our room while we were away and changed our towels as well. Very friendly staff! There was always someone at the reception and they were really kind to us. We were able to borrow a bunch of cutleries and other kitchen items we needed and make tea as well

While the room seemed clean, I noticed a big chunk of hair folded into one of the towels we received on the second day. It was no big deal, but I hope they do clean their towels and bedsheets. The room was a bit cold, you can only heat up the room with an AC which is really loud so you cannot really leave it on at night. Personally I did not mind this, but the stairs were very narrow and steep. Accessing upper floors might cause some trouble, especially with bigger luggage

The hotel is very central, you can walk to pretty much anywhere, also the metro is close by but because we also found ourselves walking we never used it :D The room was clean and we had daily cleaning service (which was not necessary at all but welcome). It was exceptionally quiet as well! And our room was overlooking a sort of landing in between buildings, so our "window" was actually a glass door that led out onto that landing and we used that area as a sort of balcony :D and we were very happy with that :D

The shower area is "closed off" with a very inadequate glass pane and all the water gets out of the shower. And the bathroom door is not a door but a sliding frosted-glass pane which is really not useful at all. Also the room needs hooks to hang stuff. If the hotel staff read this: Hooks in hotel rooms are so practical, attach a few sturdy hooks to the walls, they'll be much appreciated!

The staff was super friendly and helpful and we felt welcome. If you hang out the window you can see a beautiful Parisian arch and there is a nice neighborhood past it to walk around in, and a playground. Breakfast is nice and the bathrooms were new and clean with a good shower. If you are Shabbat observant it is good to know there are real keys and no elevator. Automatic entry door but 24 hour desk staff. But don’t plan on hanging or eating in the very small room, it’s good to go back to after a long day enjoying the city.

This place is in a great location, is very affordable and delivers what it says it will very well. It’s NOT a fancy boutique hotel but it delivers value for money, with small but clean rooms with all the things you need for a short stay in Paris and is 2 minutes from a metro station and a 15min walk from the Gare de Nord. My stay was great - the staff are also very friendly and helpful

Be aware there is no elevator and the bathrooms are tiny - but you get what you pay for in Paris
