Excellent value for money - I feel like if this were a branded hotel, they could easily charge us at least 50% more. Very very helpful staff. Excellent location - literally less than five minutes away from both the Republique and Oberkampf stations. Pretty new hotel, so everything is in great condition. Pretty spacious bathroom for Paris. Beyond adequate room if solo travelling.

My only request is if they could provide hair conditioner. Extra brownie points if they could put up a little rack in the shower cubicle for people to put their face wash and whatever personal amenities they need to use inside the shower cubicle.

I would rate the hotel staff as the primary asset. All of them -- from the reception, housekeeping, dining room -- were very helpful, responsive, and with positive attitudes in interacting with guests. This is highly appreciated. The hotel location is also very convenient to places that we wanted to visit. It was near bus stops and metro stations, as well as to restaurants and other conveniences. We also thought very well of the facilities. The room amenities were of high standards, and we appreciated the daily cleaning. The amenities in the lobby, such as reading materials, proximity to the dining room, helped make our stay a positive experience. We highly recommend this hotel to others.

We really found everything very satisfactory.

Checking in and Checking out was a smooth process. The hotel met our request for an early check in and offered us some refreshments and a very nice brand for us to use to freshen up when we arrived. The day and night staff are so friendly and very nice. They gave us a lot of recommendations and offered to help with transportation when getting around the city.Our room was very clean and we had a gorgeous window view of the street, my husband and I were very comfortable with our stay here. I wished we stayed longer! Our stay here was for one night in Paris for our honeymoon trip, but we will definitely re-book with Le General Hôtel when coming back. Loved everything about my stay at Le General. The room: was up there with the 4* standards, clean, spacious, well lit with natural light, not to mention, a coffee machine in the room as well. The Location: was perfect for me, in one of the coolest places in Paris (Les Marais). The Staff: one of the best I dealt with ever. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, really made me feel like home. The free drinks and pastries were a surprise bonus and a delight. They also had a gold little toy duck 🦆 in the room, and they wanted me to have it for my daughter. 😻 Thank You ! Overall for me this was one of the best experiences with a hotel and its staff I had. Mercy Beaucoup !

Staff excellent, comfortable clean . Good for 2 people Very clean .very new. Showers n apartment looked new . Gave us free champagne on arrival . Forgot name of guy who checked us in but he was super nice and friendly. Our charger didn’t work for us so gave us spares to use and we returned when we checked out . Check out girls were super nice too .

Bit far from places but if you have good shoes is walkable to other places . Train station. Near but hubby n I like walk .

The staff was excellent and went above and beyond. A fun hotel, extra perks like they will ship a postcard for you, and staff that is ready to personally assist with anything. Lots of breakfast options, a little gym and complimentary water bottles, nice clean hotel, big washrooms in small but decent sized rooms, comfy beds, not too far from city centre (20-30 minite car ride or 45 minute brisk walk).

Not too much to dislike, perhaps the walls are a bit thin to hear neighbours, and the gym is a little small, but would still highly recommend a stay here, great for the value.

Room was very comfortable and the staff were friendly. Location was great and the restaurant recommendation (L'Aller Retour Marais) in the provided map I tried was excellent

The breakfast was a little disappointing, choice wasn't great and the quality of food was lower than the three star hotel I previously stayed in. It was sufficient but nothing more and didn't match the quality of the rest of the hotel. The reception on the TV in my room was also poor during my stay, and it was in an odd location in the room

We had an absolutely amazing stay. The staff was wery welcoming and friendly and made sure to accomodate any request we had. They also told us how to get around the city and how to use different means of transport. They even alowed me to sing opera in the hotel and made sure I felt comfortable. The room was incredibly clean and cosy, and the beds were comfortable. The lovely cleaning ladies made sure to replace the coffee,water, cookies, and toilletries every day. The breakfast was diverse, with lots of options for those who are vegan, gluten free, dairy free. The hotel is located in a very safe, lively area of Paris. There is a big metro station 2 minutes away (Republique) and there are lots of metro lines that can take you anywhere. There are lots of cafes, restaurants near by. The hotel also offers room service.

Exceptional staff that were all conversant in English and offered many suggestions for restaurants, guided tours, metro and rail advice, etc. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. Rooms were clean and tended to daily. Great central location with immediate access (less than five minute walk) to two metro stops and a major train station (ten minute walk). Worked out in the gym daily. I would stay here again and confidently recommend it to friends and family. I felt safe and comfortable here.

Great location in between Republique and Oberkampf. So easy to get anywhere around Paris via the metro. Also, appreciated the afternoon drinks and pastries in the lobby, as well as the daily bottled water and the sauna downstairs. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast looked delicious (sadly didn't get the chance to try it).

Room was a little tight but comfy bed
