The hotel is located very close to two metro stations, one is 200 meters away, and the other is around 300-400 meters. Since it was a new hotel on Booking, we were a bit hesitant to make a reservation, but there was nothing to worry about. Corina and David greeted us warmly with a smile. Since we had plenty of time before check-in, they kindly offered us coffee, but as we wanted to head out immediately, we declined their kind offer. They stored our luggage in the luggage room, and when we returned, it had already been taken up to our room. Our room was quite spacious by Paris standards (this was my second trip). Every corner of the hotel was designed and furnished with great care. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and our room was tidied every day with fresh towels provided. The toiletries in the bathroom like soap and shower gel were lovely. There was always hot water. The Wi-Fi was strong and worked perfectly throughout our stay. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. There was absolutely nothing negative about our stay. If I come to Paris again, I would choose this hotel again. Thank you very much for making our stay so comfortable.

Small area to serve breakfast but everything was lovely and fresh and beautifully presented - the staff were always there and happy to help. They were able to store our luggage from the train as we arrived before our rooms were ready and they stored luggage on day of departure so we could mazimise our time and collected luggage before we left at 1pm. Excellent proximity to metro - Oberkampf was a 2 minute walk away with a fabulous Boulangerie on the corner of the street where we got our takeaway lunch. The Canal Saint Martin was also very close and was a joy to just wander the streets, cross the canal bridges and take lots of coffees sitting on the streets in lovely cafes. Perfect location. Nice honesty bar in the restaurant area if you wanted to stay up into the night! We ordered balloons and champagne for our eldest's 30th birthday in their room and they also gave fabulous cake and Tattinger champagne which four of us shared. They loved the balloons in their room! Everything was very clean and although we didn't get our room made up as felt we didn't need it, our children did and said it was good service. The spa was lovely although you have to order a slot before hand to get a time you want if you've got a packed schedule - even if it's included in your room (we had Superior rooms) - they had double booked us for a time slot over another room but had the follow-on time so wasn't too inconvenient. There was no clock in the spa so take your phone to make sure you stick to the 45 mins slot allowed. A brilliant stay and glad we chose this hotel.

The lift took ages to come - quicker and more healthy (!) to use the stairs (we were only on the 2nd floor).

Hôtel Ginette à la Folie was excellent. The location was ideal for us, very close to metro stations, and a manageable 25 minute walk to a hub of cafes and shops around the Notre-Dame area. We were down the road from a fantastic bakery, Boulangerie Utopie, which I would highly recommend! Our room was beautiful, in particular the bathroom was gorgeous! I loved the eclectic and quirky decor. The room was small, but we expected this from the images when we booked. Despite the small size, the hotel had put a lot of thought into the room, for example the wide-screen television was on an extendable arm, allowing us to reposition it as needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and roomy. The bathroom, again, was beautiful, and the shower was very spacious. There were plenty of amenities on offer such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, etc. The staff were very polite and friendly. The hotel were very accommodating of our luggage on our last day, keeping it safe for us after we'd checked out.

I had put a special request on our booking, but this seems to have gone unnoticed. However, we were very happy with the room we received anyway, so didn't feel the need to flag it. There was an occasional low rumble of the metro below us but it didn't bother us at all. We didn't use the breakfast or spa facilities so can't comment on those, but the breakfast area looked very nice when we walked past, and the food looked good.

This is a typical medium sized Paris hotel. However its cleanliness and good decor make it shine out above others I have stayed in, in the city. The hotel is in an excellent location for Metro and Bus, has a really good breakfast and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The down bedding and good temperature control made the room comfortable and we got a very good night's sleep. We'll be back

As a medium sized city hotel the rooms are not big and with luggage can be a bit cramped. A chair to sit down in may have helped. Apart from this veru minor item nothing we didn't like

The overall helpfulness of every single staff member was so lovely. We also loved the area in which the hotel is located in. Amazingly close to all the good restaurants and shops in oberkampf/ Marais. The hotel was clean, safe, and felt modern with a chic old world feel. Despite minor minor characteristic flaws of the building, we would 100% stay here again when coming back to Paris!! Ana and Davide at the front desk were incredible and such pleasant faces to see through the day.

How dark the room felt. In an already dark and grey few days in Paris, the one window to the courtyard/ the dark nature of the decor made it feel a little gloomy inside

Hotel is in great location, 5mins walk to metro stations. Staff was nice. Bed was very big and comfortable. Room styling is quite interesting. Spa was a nice touch

The only issue for us was the lighting of the bathroom which was linked to the room. That meant if someone had to use the bathroom at night they would have to have the full room lightened up, waking up others or using phone light like we did. Spa time could be a bit longer than 45 mins but i understand they try to have more people enjoy it.

Decor very peculiar, but we really liked it. Personell very kind and helpful. Very good breakfast, especially the local produce. Metro stations oberkampf and republique very close, less than 10 minutes, very pleasant area, vibrant with restaurants but quiet.

Room 406, a triple, was a bit small, normal for Paris, but some more storage like shelves, etc, would have been helpful. The only opening was the door facing a little tererrace, so not much light.

Our stay at Ginette à la Folie was absolutely delightful. The hotel is beautifully designed, cosy, and full of character, but what truly stood out was the amazing staff. They were so kind, helpful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home and really enhanced our visit to Paris. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I honestly could not find anything I didn't like about this hotel it was great

Impeccable from start to finish. I almost didn’t book as the decor is a bit full on, but I’m glad I did! The bed was incredibly comfortable (be sure to try all the pillows as they are different softnesses!). We booked the spa which was stunning, so worth it. We had it to ourselves and it’s just so lovely. Ten minutes before the booking a member of staff arrived to our with robes and slippers to go down in. Amazing!! 12 noon check out as standard also allows a relaxed transition into the day. Heavenly. Would so recommend.
