As the photos show, this property is a solid, stone-built manor house, set back on a terrace overlooking a courtyard protected by a small moat or haha. Our room was small but carefully decorated, with a very comfortable bed and a decent, if small, shower room. A simple breakfast is served in a smart, modern conservatory off the main house. The choice is limited but the products are of good quality. Dogs are welcome. This is a good stopover halfway between Paris and Alsace.

This is not a comment about the property as such. It would be useful if Booking.com gave information on its app about surcharges for pets. Customers choose properties partly on the basis of prices shown and paid; only later, when in contact with the property do they discover they’ll be paying 10 to 20 euros (in this particular case, 15), I.e. often more than 10%, more.

well this place is stunning,,, just sitting the courtyard was so relaxing and peaceful,,, the room was stunning , the bed so big I lost my partner and very very comfy,, the place is so full of history and character, breakfast was very small choice but tasty all the same,,, location is a small village and if you missed out for the onsite restaurant then you choice in the village is limited to one pizza shop

Location was great as it was on our route home to the UK. It was secluded in a gated property, and extremely quiet. The owners and their sons were very welcoming and courteous. The buildings were thoughtfully renovated as was the main house. The accommodation we were in was snug but lovely and comfy, especially the bed. The fan in the room was nice to have with it being warm. The owners and their sons were most welcoming and courteous. No restaurant onsite but food can be requested on certain evenings. Lots of choice for breakfast with homemade jams etc.

Great location with secure parking behind electric gates. Superb breakfast with most of what was on offer locally sourced. The weather was warm when we visited so we were able to take advantage of the tables on the terrace in front of the house.

Our room was tight on space, but only because it had a King size bed which was comfy(More important to us)! Unfortunately we had not pre-booked our evening meal (May have helped if the joining instructions had been in english?) as we arrived on a Monday night. No food is served by the B&B on a Sunday or Monday night unless pre-booked in advance. It would not have been a big issue as we bought provisions from a supermarket once aware of this. Having driven for around five hours up from Lucerne we wanted to eat on the tables provided outside our rooms. THIS WAS FORBIDDEN BY THE OWNERS AND ASKED TO TAKE OUR PICNIC OFF THE PREMISES. Luckily it was a warm evening and we found a park nearby! This left a sour note to our stay which otherwise would have been excellent.

Rooms were well laid out and decorated nicely. Breakfast was very nice and the space where it was served is beautiful. Bathrooms are well appointed. The garden / grounds are exceptionally laid out and worthy of an exploration.

Gallery / glass house space of breakfast is not to be missed. Parking is provided inside the property. The buildings are well restored and look splendid. Have a peek through the garden!

Stunning property ! The grounds were charming, a couple of different seating areas to enjoy the garden. Beautifully presented, rooms, decorated in a unique, modern style. The bed was extremely comfy. Tea facilities in the room had a lovely hand made element to them with herbs from the gardens. Breakfast was a treat, plenty of options available to suit anyone’s preference.

We found the creating rather odd, the man who owns the property greeted us in a less than friendly and quiet daunting manner. We felt slightly uncomfortable around him. The lady however was extremely nice, chatted to us over breakfast and made us feel really welcome. Not many place to eat in the town but we were advised that towns around 30 minutes away had some good restaurants.

Absolutely beautiful. Quiet village location, perfect for our stop over before heading to Switzerland. Our room was amazing, with a big comfy bed, spotlessly clean, fabulous shower, lovely views of the gorgeous gardens, nice touch of fresh leaves to make your own tea in your room. Breakfast was delicious over in the main house, I'm gluten intolerant, so I was given gluten-free bread and granola. All jams, yogurt, and cookies are home-made. Hosts are both so welcoming and knowledgeable. Just fantastic....

Absolutely nothing.

Brilliant stop on our way to Switzerland from the uk. The Wellness centre (Sauna and Jacuzzi) was an excellent way to relax with the family after a long trip. Very peaceful location in a gated area meant we felt good leaving luggage in our car overnight. Breakfast was great, can't decide if the pineapple or the kiwi jam was the best but everything was delicious. Hosts were on hand to answer questions and provide tips for our onward journey.

Extremely comfortable, sparkling clean and beautifully renovated accommodation. A lot of thought and consideration has been made to create a tranquil, amazing pleasant place to stay. The owners were extremely welcoming and charming. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, especially the amazing choice of home made jams, juices and muesli. We only stayed one night on our way back to UK but wish we could have stayed longer.

We loved our stay here our room was compact but perfect. Secure parking and a nice breakfast
