As we planned our vacation in Dordogne, we looked for a place where we could comfortably spend a week not far from Sarlat Le Caneda. Among the good possibilities, we chose La Closerie in part because of its outstanding reviews. And the rave reviews are well-deserved—we could not possibly have found a better place. We loved everything about this lovely chambres d'hôte, especially the hosts, Mireille and Jean-Christophe. The location is perfect- an easy drive into Sarlat or to the many other attractions in the area, yet away from the congestion and noise of the town. As we drove in, we were met by our hosts with a cart to take our luggage, which they helped us take to a very comfortable, bright and pretty room. We slept well, in comfortable beds, and woke up to a really delicious breakfast, with local specialties, fresh breads from a local baker, and Mireille's homemade treats and scrambled eggs if you want them. The grounds are lovely, with pretty areas to sit outside in sun or shade, and nearby trails to walk. Both Mireille and Jean Christophe are interesting and fun to talk with in French or English and offer excellent information about the attractions of the area. They are available without being at all intrusive, and quickly became friends. You cannot go wrong by staying at La Closerie de Sarlat!

The property was the definition of southern France charm! The bucolic surroundings, the 1880s Stone buildings, the peaceful setting decorated as if Martha Stewart had visited for a month! And most important, the hosts whom we got to know over the homemade delicious breakfasts served at 8:30 every morning!! when we come back to France this is we we will stay Tim and Susanne

A beautiful property in a lovely part of France. The rooms were tastefully decorated, the pool area very relaxing, and our hosts were a delight and provided lots of tips on the local area as well as a wonderful breakfast each day. We had an amazing stay at La Closerie De Sarlat and will definitely be returning.

Beautiful B&B in a beautiful location. Jean-Christophe and Mireille made us feel very welcome and gave us a generous and delicious breakfast every day, with some of the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever tasted! Also their recommendations of what to do were excellent and we passed 3 lovely days in the region!

Mireille and Jean Christophe have made a little paradise in the Perigord! From the moment we arrived we were treated like much-wanted guests and friends. The breakfasts were just delicious, especially the home-made and local treats, and the table-de-hôte was as delicious as one could find anywhere. We hope to return one day....it was a truly beautiful place with the right people to make it special.

A wonderful home made breakfast, with a choice of breads, home made cakes and jams, cheese, charcuterie and a cooked breakfast. More than enough to eat for the whole day.

There was nothing that we did not like. In fact our stay was an excellent relaxing time, which was thanks to our hosts professionalism, kindness and thoughtfulness. They were always there with a smile to help and suggest how to frame the stayso that we could have the maximum benefit and happiness from our stay. We have left the Closerie de Sarlat with very happy memories.

The hosts are a wonderful couple and were very helpful with any request. Breakfasts were excellent! We would stay here again if we are ever in that area of France in future.

Beautiful site, hosts extremely welcoming assisting us with our luggage and giving us recommendations for places to visit and where to eat. Breakfast really "top notch" with homemade jams and cakes. Bed comfy and air conditioning appreciated as we hit a heatwave. Old town of Sarlat is beautifu and lots of places ro visit in surrounding area
