A 10 min walk from the station - a 4 min walk to Versailles palace - a 5 min walk to supermarket and restaurants. Did not try the breakfast in the hotel as there is a fridge and kettle we wandered each morning to the supermarket and purchased pastries and had milk in the fridge so we were able to have breakfast in our room. Each day there was a fresh bottle of filtered water in our room, which fitted into the fridge to cool down. I was able to get ice from the reception/bar each day which was great in the hot weather. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

If you had difficulties with stairs you need to be aware from the front there are two lots of stairs down to the main entrance. you can walk around the back of the building but you still have steps up and steps down. There is a back door, but you have to knock on the door to try and get reception to hear you to open it - which we tried once but no one heard us. If there was a bell on the back door it would have help.

So close to the palace!!!!!!!! What a lovely hotel. As a single lady traveller,I felt safe and well looked after.My room was gorgeous.Huge, extremely comfortable bed.Nespresso machine,plus kettle and tea and instant coffee....and chocolates!Big modern bath and shower.Good toiletries. Didn't try the breakfast,but it smelled wonderful.Very helpful staff.Even offering me stamps to post my letter. Its a gorgeous area,with 3 very nice restaurants 2-3 minutes walk away. The train station is only a short 10-15 minutes walk. I am telling all of my friends to stay here. Merci beaucoup. X

Maybe a little dark in my room, but it added to the ambience and lovely French decor. Not a problem. Bathroom bright.

Upon arrival no one at reception...when I rang bell lady appeared and seemed very grumpy and said as I had not made reservation for car parking there wasn't any space. I was not told I needed to reserve! She just said to park in a street which was not helpful as we had a car full of stuff and needed secure location. My daughter found indigo underground carpark which was 10 mins walk from hotel so we left luggage and went to park car. Very secure car park. Also bed mattress very hard.

unbelievably handy location for the palace. Great size room. bed was enormous and really comfortable. all staff helpful and warm with excellent language skills. cute bar just a tiny walk down the street to sit out and have a drink looking out at the central square in front of the palace

when you arrive you might think the venue is slightly tired but actually, having then gone onto Paris you appreciate the size of the room you had. I had expected it to be looking out to the view whereas actually it was onto the central open part within the hotel grounds but all was astonishingly quiet sound wise and tranquil

its a great value for money, the location is excellent, the stuff was helpful. The rooms are good, liked the shower.

Little details to improve to make it perfect - better breakfast, didnt like the choice and quality of food. Regretted I took a breakfast. I didnt like that when I arrived to breakfast, all the tables were dirty and noone made an effort to clean them, so had to ask the stuff to do it. I think it should be done more naturally once a guest finishes the meal? Please clean the trash baskets after the previous guest. It was a surprise when I checked in )

The hotel was very convenient for the Palace of Versailles and an easy walk from Rive Gauche station. Our room was large and well appointed. The self service breakfast was excellent. We were in a room on the top fifth floor and although no traffic or street noise, there did appear to be a low rumble from the roof, possibly the Hôtel air conditioning unit. There was also an unfortunate smell of drains in the lift which wasn’t very pleasant.

This hotel is just spectacular. It's location, immediately outside the palace of Versailles, could not be better, and each room (I've stayed in two so far) seems to have stunning decoration - vast wall murals of the palace. They are also really spacious. It feels like a real luxury stay and I very much hope to come back here.

It's a very small thing, but the lady on reception advised us wrongly, saying we had to pay to enter Le Grand Canal area of the Palace gardens. You don't have to pay. That part is free! Given how close they are to the Palace, staff should probably know it's policies! But honestly, this is such a tiny thing and the lady was perfectly polite, even if she got it wrong!

Other than the usual hotel noises it was very quiet. Location for the chateau was excellent. Good restaurant very close.

Eggs were slow to be replenished (on each of three mornings so not a one off) in what was generally a very good breakfast. No shelves in the bathroom and shower floor was slippery so a grab handle would be useful.

This was my third stay at Hotel Le Versailles. It is the closest hotel to the Chateau and I will book again next year. The staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is very good, beds exceed expectations, I always sleep very well and the mattress and sheets are great, the hotel is quiet and very convenient. The hotel is very clean. Nice shower.

The bathrooms can be very small and without any counter space, nor even a shelf, upon which to put your toiletries. I had to place my toiletries on the floor, as literally, just a sink. The bathrooms need a redesign as soon as possible. No bidet in the bathrooms.

We loved the location within walking distance to Versailles and the nearby restaurants. The room was nice and large, and the decor was very attractive and appropriate. The bathroom with gold trim was beautiful and not over the top. The best thing about the location was we were able to tour the Palace during the day and since it was a Saturday, we were able to walk back over to the gardens in the evening for the Nighttime Fountain Show and Fireworks which I think we enjoyed more than the palace tour! Afterword, we could easily walk back over to the Hotel Le Versailles.

There wasn't a restaurant or breakfast available onsite during our stay. A continental breakfast of breads and pastries was brought to our room, but we would have preferred something with some protein (i.e. eggs, yogurt, bacon or other meat).
