The location was the best. The hotel is very flexible with check in and check out times.

The apartment is a little bit old. The kitchen and living room tables are glass which makes you a bit nervous as you are afraid of breaking them up.

The staff were really good, when I checked in they helped point our lots of things for me to do and explore on a map. I also didn't have breakfast included (by choice) but they allowed me to have a tea/coffee in the morning as no facility to make it in the room. I offered to pay but they said it was no problem. They are also a local hotel, not a giant chain so it's good to give them your support. It's not far away from the centre, 10 minutes walk max. There is a mini fridge to keep your drinks cool as well and it was very quiet. For those looking for a parkrun hotel, it's REALLY close and there is a 30km bike/walk trail to the Netherlands if you have time for that.

The only minor things I can think of is that it would be useful to have some USB sockets on some of the plugs. The bed was fine but it was positioned near the window which wasn't fully covered, sleeping mask required if you like total darkness.

Really excellent staff, very friendly, polite, helpful. Good to try some German but their English is excellent. Breakfast was very good. Generally clean and comfortable with good basic facilities. Easy walking distance of city centre and right by Lousberg Park - and easily findable off main routes with a car. Quite a leafy area with London Plane trees nearby and locals seem friendly enough. Generally, it is a really good stay and excellent value for money. It's a typical transit hotel and very good at that.

Area is bit run down in places etc - doesn't have a sinister feel, quite the opposite but it's more of a student area; there's no main car park - not the hotel's fault, just the fact of the building/street arrangements - and it has a couple of garages very close by that you can reserve - but that might limit things (obviously check with the hotel). Room windows are very well soundproofed and air conditioning excellent - which is good because it can be a busy area throughout the day with regular traffic off the Würselen road, which may not appeal.

The location was great and the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The space and layout of the apartment were good. There was constant hot water and the heating was good. We had breakfast in the hotel on one occasion and it was very good. There was secure parking in a nearby garage which was very convenient.

Only suggestion I have is that there could be a slightly better selection of kitchen utensils and crockery.

Very convenient for our requirements and well priced over the holiday period. Rooms are rather on the small size and they lack storage drawers but otherwise have all that's required. It would be nice to have coffee and tea making facilities somewhere. Would be happy to stay again in the future (this was our 2nd stay). Excellent breakfast available and can be booked on the previous day. .

Second stay

We traveled to Hotel Lousberg as a family, two adults, and a five-year-old child. The hotel is easily reachable from the train station. We went by foot since we also wanted to go through the city center. It was under 30 minutes of walking at a relaxed pace. The hotel staff speaks excellent English and is very polite and helpful. Check-in was quick and without surprises. The room is small but cozy, has a mini fridge with some amenities, and a private bathroom with all you would need. The bed is clean, big, and comfortable. On the next day, we had breakfast, which was really good and with good value. They didn't charge for our kid, which was a nice surprise. Overall, it is an excellent hotel and an excellent choice for families traveling with children. They have other rooms that comport more people, so if you are traveling with 2 kids or more book those instead.

We had no negative experiences, which is nice. It was a single-night stay.

The breakfast was superb. A generous and attractive buffet, with freshly squeezed orange juice and decaf coffee available. The hotel was easy to find and just a few minutes walk from the historic centre of Aachen. The parking garage was a short walk from the hotel.

It would have been nice to have a guest lounge/bar where we could have relaxed with our friends in the evening after dinner and before bed.

Nice, comfy and clean place to explore Aachen. Safe location, close-by parking garage. About 10-15 minutes to the center on foot. We had an apartment with a full kitchen, which was very useful on the Christmas eve to prepare the family meal, while all restaurants closed early. Friendly front desk staff, who helped us to explore the area.

All was good, no negative points.

We had a family apartment for my daughter and her family, and a double room for me and my husband. The family apartment was spacious and comfortable, with two bedrooms and a good sized living/dining room. The staff at the reception was nice and helpful.

We did not realize the family apartment was located in a building at the back of the hotel, therefore not that convenient when we were going to help out with the young children. Though the rooms in the apartment was comfortable, the kitchen was really basic, without microwave oven and dishwasher, not even a draining board. Therefore we had to dry the dishes with the kitchen towels right after the dishes were done.

Hotel was good, staff was great, breakfast was great.

On booking.com we booked for2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 kids, one room was supposed to hold 2 adults and 1 child, the other 1 adult and 1 child. When we arrived the rooms the hotel showed booked in their system were only single adult rooms with a single bed. Our younger one fit in a crib and my wife and daughter had to share a single bed.
