Clean,basic hotel in a great location (edge of the main square). Helpful staff but limited front desk hours. We stayed in the two bed suite . Plenty of room and plenty of windows that open. Only one flight up. Parking is in the public garage about a block from the square (we packed carry-ons for a one night stay). Decor is slightly dated but it is a good choice for a short stay to see the ancient cathedral and historic center of Aachen. Building is old, no AC or public lounge or breakfast but a very nice room.

Very centrally located, super-friendly and helpful staff, and we had a large light room with a side view to the cathedral dome. Comfortable bed and a small sitting area.

There is no breakfast here, but a choice of excellent cafes nearby including a high-end bakery with a grand breakfast buffet upstairs. No kettle in the room, but one was immediately provided on request. Likewise facilities to store luggage after checkout. The lift is for luggage but not people, so be prepared for 3 flights of stairs to the upper rooms. Personally I'm not keen on glass doors between bathroom and bedroom sitting area!

Where else to stay when the Christmas Market in Aachen is on? The location is excellent, and the price is reasonable. Many good breakfast options within 2 minutes walking distance. The room (33) itself was spacious, and I believe I had one of the smaller rooms. A metal framed double bed, a sturdy desk and a old fashioned wardrobe. Spartan, but more than enough for me. The bathroom was done in a modern style with white tiles. Everything was clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Note that the front desk is only manned during the day

Breakfast restaurant is temporarily closed, Access to rooms only by stairs, no elevator. The staff will however help with the luggage if needed.

I loved the hotel! First, the hospitality. The staff were so very welcoming and friendly! Second, the location. It is located on the central square, and we could see the central square from our window. Thirdly, the comfort. Everything was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the room was big, the bath was wonderful.

I am used to having a kettle in the room, but there wasn't any. It was not a problem, as there were good cafés around, so this is just a little thing. There is no lift in the building, but the staff help with the luggage. Again, it was no concern for me, but I am mentioning it so that the other travellers are aware.

It’s very central, satnav took me almost to the door. Although the front desk was unattended, instructions regarding codes were sent before arrival and were easy to understand. I was able to park my motorcycle in the square outside, which was very convenient. The fan in the room was very welcome in this heatwave…

I can’t think of anything about the stay which could have been better

We were attending Formula 1 GP at Spa and have chosen this hotel for its absolutely reasonable price. The hotel was right in the city center, close to good city parking and to restaurants and cafe for dinner. The hotel crew was absolutely amazing. Super polite and kind to recommend us anything we were asking about.

The room we’ve got was not comfortable at all, unfortunately. We had glass doors to the toilet right in front of the bed, meaning anyone who goes there at night wakes up the other one. Also there was no a/c so we have slept with opened window, but it was hard to do so as it is super noisy outside from the central square.

The room is very spacious but cosy and comfortable. It was really warm ! That’s very important in Christmas time. The hotel is in the heart of the town. During the Christmas period the gluhwein chalets are just in front of the hotel door. The view to the Cathedral was perfect

I lived at the 4th floor it was quite challenging to go upstairs without an elevator, but it was still great. Thanks!

The hotel was very close to the Rathous and Cathedral. Everything was easily accessible with many restaurants and cafes nearby. Our room was very spacious and the bed really comfortable. The lady at checkout was very friendly. Self-check in worked without a hitch and the instructions for it were very clear.

Sadly no breakfast is provided in the hotel itself - but we knew that from the description. Early morning can be noisy with delivery vehicles outside.

Best location in Aachen for historic sights, Christmas Market, shopping and restaurants. Easy walk to train station and Carolus Therme. My single room was very large with a huge bathroom which included a soaking tub. Heating worked very well. No breakfast is served at the property and the surrounding cafes do not open before 8:30. All rooms are accessed by an historic spiral stairway. Property does not have a 24 hour desk but very clear information is provided for entry after desk hours.

Great location, super central to town and all restaurants and bars. Easy self-check-in with key box and PIN pad. Clean and bright room.

No coffee machine in room or any way to boil water. The double bed was actually two single beds pushed together so there was a gap in the middle of the bed which was not super comfortable.
