This hotel is the cleanest, most well-kept, quaint, and friendly place I've stayed yet while travelling Europe! While it may be a little cramped getting up the stairs, the owner is happy to assist storing any heavy bags in the reception area. The location is perfect, write down the way from the main Aachen train station. It's centralized, surrounded by nice bars, cafes, and good food! The rooms are cozy, the bathrooms are spotless, and the beds are like sleeping on clouds. Whenever I return, this will always be my first choice for staying in Aachen! The owner is the kindest innkeeper you'll ever meet, with grand plans to turn the reception into a small breakfast lounge. Perhaps you'll see me in the future, making delicious pancakes and perfect eggs for guests when I return for University in '25. The place is new to the owner, with no reviews yet! If you enjoy your stay, please do her the biggest favor and give an honest review of how much you enjoyed your stay. It would mean the world to them!

I have not a single thing I disliked about this hotel!

Everything was good.

I had problems with the parking. You’re allowed to park next to the hotel maximum for 1 hour. Then you can either go sightseeing or park in the garage across the street but pay ~15.00 eur there. The lady said parking at the hotel is free from 9 o’clock, but it wasn’t clear it was 9 o’clock in the morning of Sunday. So, I left my car there at 9 o’clock in the evening on Saturday and I might get a fine for that. It may be all my fault, but was somewhat inconvenient.

The room was nice and clean, and spacious enough for the both of us. The bathroom was a little small, but still al fine. Excellent value for money. I would stay again.

As it was summer it is unfortunate that there is no mechanical airing, so we had to leave the window open. With the big road opposite it is not this nice. But we were aware of this and I brought myself earplugs

Our host was great! She was quick to tell us that there are three major reasons to visit Aachen. The first is printen, a sweet, chewy, gingerbread-y cookie. We already had them on our list, but she was so insistent that we buy ours at the bakery around the corner from our hotel that we did. And we were glad! Second is the streusel brotchen (little bread, or roll.) So we bought a chocolate one and split it. It’s a good thing they don’t sell these in Madison. The third thing was the cathedral, but it was clear she thinks it’s a distant third. Our apartment was spacious, with a daybed for a third visitor. The kitchen was functional and the bathroom had a lovely rain shower head and a hand-held wand, too. All this and a VERY short walk from the train station!

I should have checked to know ahead of time that it was many steps up from street level dragging our luggage. But it was worth it!

Love the location and very friendly owner. Hassle free check-in, seriously i love this compared to some 5 stars hotels that need to queue up waiting for keys and passport registration.

We used the same bedlinen for 9 nights and mattresses are slightly old, too soft. There is a kitchen, but very minimal provision of cooking utensil.

The location is excellent, less than 5 minutes to the train station and the 4 nearby bus stations. We also enjoyed walking to the central area which was 20-30 minutes away. The apartment is super clean and includes a kitchen with even some basic spices. The clean lady and the host are very helpful with quick respond. The self-check in and check out process is very convenience.

Almost nothing to dislike. Just a note that there is no lift, so it could be difficult for someone with heavy luggage or difficulty climbing up stair.

Good location, 15 minutes from the cathedral and near the station. Very large room with comfortable beds. Kitchen is useful for breakfast.

The steep narrow stairs were not a problem for us, but could be for others, who have small children or large luggage.

I enjoyed my stay, I got to the hotel quite late and called the number on the door. The lady showed where the key is and instructed me how to open the door. She was very helpful. Similarly on the day I left, as I left quite early all was done via phone. The room is very clean.

The stairs.. but I think there isn’t a lot that they can do about this so I am ok with this.

The position was close to train station, the room was clean and big, the bathroom had a large tub.

It was a little cold in the evening, and a little bit noisy. The stairs were too high and had no elevator, it’s hard to pull the suitcase up.
