This was our first time staying in a European hotel and it was lovely! The room was cozy but very comfortable. The beds were soft and had two pillows each. There was no air conditioning but once we figured out how the windows worked and turned on the fan the temperature was very pleasant. The bathroom was nice, and the room was quiet. The location was perfect. Very close to parking and to the Altstadt with its Big Square full of restaurants and shopping. The breakfast was extra, but it was amazing and there was also a lovely little bakery just around the corner if you wanted something smaller. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff. They were very helpful as you will see if you read my additional comments.

Our only negative here didn't really have to do with the hotel itself but with the parking situation. For most of our stay the parking was fine. It was a short stroll and the parking garage we used seemed very secure. We paid each time we came and went. However, on the las day when we went to leave the ticket machine would not let us pay our parking ticket and therefore, we could not get our car out. We tried calling the number on the machine as there was no attendant, but all of the automated message was in German of which we spoke very little. In desperation we sought the help of the hotel staff which sorted it all out for us and got us on our way. The staff went above and beyond, and we really appreciated it!

Perfect location close to the city center and in walking distance from Carolus Thermen. Excellent room, very quiet thanks to windows with excellent sound isolation. Bed was good, temperature was fine for us (not too hot!), bathroom was small but clean with a very good shower. Breakfast buffet was good, ample choice in both food and drinks. Staff was very helpful. All in all, highly recommended!

There was nothing we did not like about the hotel.

Breakfast was a typical German breakfast. What was nice is that they prepared the eggs to individual order - most hotels prepare a large batch of scrambled eggs that are frankly, questionable. The room was a good size and comfortable. The hotel was close to the christmas markets which is why we chose this place. The hotel is a good hike from the main train station (hauptbahnhof) which I did not know because I did not ask in advance. The walk was good exercise though. We took the bus back to the train station for our return. Bring some rain gear as December in Germany tends to be rainy. I would stay here again if I was in Aachen.

I liked the whole experience.

This is an excellent base for visiting the old centre of Aachen with the pedestrian area beginning just across the road. The hotel is simple but our room was spotlessly clean and, although compact, was well designed with space for clothes and luggage, many sockets and pleasing details such as a plentiful supply of hanging hooks. The breakfast was superb with a very varied array of foods and fresh eggs prepared to order. We chose not to drive into the centre of Aachen but to use the Park and Ride service which worked extremely well as the hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the bus station. An exceptional small hotel and excellent value for money.

It had a breakfast buffet which was very very nice. Getting to the hotel was a bit difficult as it's on a main street with no way to stop, so we had to go behind the hotel. Parking was a bit complicated but there was parking which was nice.

Since it's in the center of the town it was a bit loud even behind the hotel which our room faced. Some people talking, some early fireworks going off in the middle of the night. But we were within walking distance of the main area in town.

Location was good for seeing the sights, and once I was able to drop the luggage and park the car, everything went quite smoothly. Breakfast was good too, and was glad they gave scrambled eggs as I hate hardboiled.

The room was overly humid, and a bit tight. It was also difficult to drop luggage with the rental car, and we struggled to find a place to stop long enough to unload.

Good location, staying for the Grand Prix in Spa. Clean, staff lovely. Two of our rooms were lovely and big. Hotel was quiet as well. Good value for money for the time of year and with the Grand Prix on

The hotel is close to the University and to the city centre. It has a very nice location. The room was small but clean and functional. Breakfast was good with everything you need: milk, coffee, tea, muesli, jams, many types of cheese, ham, prosciutto and the like, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, eggs, various salty and sweet breads... The staff was very kind and helpful.

The most important things were okay. However, I was a bit cold in the room. It was not possible to place the towel close to the shower cabin. Water from the cabin partially poured onto the floor. And my room was small. It was quite expensive for such a small room.
