Overall, it was a good hotel, but the following stood out to me: - The staff's attitude was genuinely excellent, very kind and respectful. - I'm really grateful to them. - The room and facilities were very clean. - There was no noise from outside, and the area was very quiet at night.

**The only downside for me was:** - The toilet was separated from the bathroom and the handwashing area. It seemed like it had been added from the end of the hallway into the room, and unfortunately, it didn't have good ventilation, so the smell would spread into the room.

Location is on the Rhine river, about 8 min walk to old town. Beautiful old hotel right next to the old city gate. Highly recommend. The owners, Freit and Nicol are great and make the best breakfast.

Very friendly and attentive team. I was greeted by name at check-in and throughout my stay and there was a great breakfast. I got a sense of Fawlty Towers on occasions although this should only be taken in a very positive way.

Lovely historical hotel in front of the Rhein, very quite, nice town. Perfect for.escaping the hustle of big cities. Hosts very nice, i could safely store my bike

We stayed for 3 days, and the hotel was really good. Everything was perfect except for a small issue with the lift, otherwise everything was excellent

Lift

It was very clean,perfect spot for the view and walking. The history is amazing and architecture is amazing! Perfect shops! Owners were so very nice!

A lot of 70s ambiance. Friendly and professional owner, supported by very polite wife. Excellent breakfast. Space to park bicycles.

The maîtrede was very welcoming, and made our stay very enjoyable.

More fruit available for breakfast would have been good

The location

Lovely location on the river Rhein. Very nice clean room. A good breakfast was served in the morning. The owners kindly let us leave our bags for a few hours whilst we went for a walk in the city.

The amount of space in the toilet and shower room could be a bit better,
