Everything is excellent and would come back if we can.

Wish the mini bar had price tag , so that we know how much money expected to pay at the end of the check out. If offering some free water will be highly appreciated, understand it is reasonable to pay for your alcohol.

The suite we got was huge enough for us to be very comfortable. It has a separate sala, kitchenette with complete facilities (dishwasher, microwave, etc.), split toilet and shower rooms, separate walk-in closet, AC was good. The in-building laundry was very convenient, but we wish it could be available even outside business hours. There is a restaurant on the first level if you want to have german cuisine without having to travel far. The area around is abound with several eating places so lots of options to choose from. When we arrived late, the security person was very helpful, he brought us to our unit and explained how to get through the security doors, and also told us where to go for groceries. The hotel staff themselves were also very helpful and I can rely on getting assistance whenever I need to.

The house keeping can improve a little in terms of being more thorough. I know the unit is huge and the housekeeping staff probably has several units to clean in a day, but just the basic sweeping or vacuuming of the floor in the sala area was missed and the some light rubbish was left in one of the rubbish bins. And for one day during our 4 night stay, the cleaning was late since it was already past 3pm and our unit hasn't been cleaned yet that single time. There is also no ice machine or any other way to get ice except to ask a favor from the restaurant on the ground floor. They did give me ice, but on one occasion the bartender was rude and he refused to give me ice. So for those who need ice for their stay, just be mindful.

We stayed in a suite on the seventh floor. It had ample natural light. It is very spacious very clean and very quiet. It is centrally located and very close to restaurants, cafés and public transportation, both buses and Metro. It is also close to many shops and supermarkets which are open late.

We have two suggestions: One is to add a sharp knife to the kitchen. There is a bread knife, but it’s not really suitable for cutting vegetables or anything else you need. Two is to add some lighting in the bedroom area and in the eating area, We understand the decorator’s choice for intimacy and quiet but if you can’t see what you’re doing or what you’re eating then there’s really no point of it.

I had an amazing 3-night stay at this hotel in Berlin. Everything was truly superb — the bed was incredibly comfortable, the pillows were perfect, and I slept better than I have in a long time. The room was quiet, clean, and cozy, making it easy to relax after a full day exploring the city. The location is also fantastic — close to everything, with great access to public transport and walking distance from many of Berlin’s top spots. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended and I would definitely come back!

Pros: Location was ideal. Just a few steps from the train. It was well furnished with everything including so many little things like wash cloths, tissues, shower caps, tea bags, etc. Housekeeping refreshed the room each day which was unexpected. Plenty of space and the outdoor balcony was a nice place to unwind after a day of touring the city. The automatic window shades were great since our windows faced west. AC worked great on the few days that we needed it. Nice to have the toilet separate from the shower.

Minor things: The living room furniture was a little outdated and the seating height was very low even for someone only 5'4". Might be more uncomfortable for a tall person. For us, though, it wasn't a big deal since we didn't hang out there much. We arrived on a Monday in June. Info said the office opened at 8am. However, it turned out that was a German holiday, so no one arrived until 9am. Wished the property had communicated we would be checking in on the day of a German holiday. After contacting the number for the property, we were directed to the security person to gain access but unfortunately the person did not speak English and could not help us.

The hotel was centrally located, checkpoint Charlie and the brandenburg gate were no more than a 10 minute walk away. The room was very big and spacious, there was a balcony with a nice view of the city and a full sized kitchen. The hotel had free self service laundry which made things convenient. There was also a good Bavarian restaurant downstairs. The staff were also nice and helpful with our stay, providing us with umbrellas when it rained.

There were no ceiling lights in the bed room for lighting. all it had were lamps instead and you had to turn each lamp off individually rather than just flipping a switch and having them all turn off. The lamps instead of ceiling lights situation also made things a bit creepy at night. Also the shower/bathtub was higher than the floor, meaning you had to step up to get in and step down to get out which could pose a dangerous slipping hazard. Lastly the kitchen had no oven.

This is more like having a huge apartment that has daily housekeeping than a full service hotel. It was quiet and laid back. NO busy lobby, or bar, or hectic reception. We really liked the size and comfort of the apartment. It had a full kitchen, work desk, plenty of closet space. The breakfast and breakfast staff were both very good. The only issue was it’s easy to confuse Mandala Suites on Freidrichstraße with Mandala Hotel on Potsdammer Platz. They are not the same. This property you enter what looks like a large commercial building that opens into a large atrium. Off the atrium there is a very popular traditional German style restaurant, Maximilian’s. Mandala Suites reception is in the rear of the atrium. We were very happy with this place as it matched up with our style of independent travel. If you need 24 hr room service and fancy lobby bar, this is not your place.

We received a warm welcome from reception staff upon arrival and were surprised at how spacious and gorgeous our suite was. They kindly upgraded our room because we missed our first night in Berlin due to travel problems with Lufthansa cancelling our flight from Frankfurt. The bed was very comfortable with a firm mattress. The kitchen was perfect, equipped with just what we needed to make our own breakfast. They loaned us umbrellas as needed, printed out museum passes for us, and provided recommendations for restaurants. Maximillian's, the authentic German restaurant just next door was very good!

The breakfast at the Mandala suites was beautifully presented but the only warm food offered was hard boiled eggs, everything else was cold.

All was excellent and better than expected with the exception of no espresso machine which was odd. Most places have this facility nowadays, especially a hotel of this caliber. It was quiet, spotless clean.

No Nespresso / espresso machine. Instant coffee?? Who the heck drinks that anymore.... Hard beds and bad pillows

The apartment was great! It was very spacious, well-equipped with tasteful furniture. It even had a walk-in closet! Everything was clean and in great working condition. Also, it was quite quiet, which we didn't expect in the city center. The building was modern with decent, imaginative architecture. And apparently well-maintained. Fast elevators that went right to the garage were an added bonus. Being able to park the car in the underground parking lot of the same building was excellent and definitely worth the money.

Bed was perhaps too soft, I had a slight backache from it. The breakfast, although with very friendly staff, in a room with a great view of the city, felt somewhat poor. The food tasted fine, but didn't include more caloric foods like sausages, scrambled eggs or pancakes of any kind. The only boiled food available was a boiled egg, which had to be ordered from the staff separately. Coffee was horrible. Other drink options were still water and mediocre orange juice. Sauna was average. No ice pool or bucket of ice water. One of the two showers had such a weak water flow that it was unusable. So the only option to cool down was the smaller shower in the back. Thankfully, I was the only person in the sauna at that moment.
