Property was very clean, supplied washing amenities, and had a bilingual instruction sheet in German and English. Great sleeping with windows having screens to keep bugs out. Restaurant breakfast was awesome fruit, nuts, meat, cheese and bread charcuterie board for two. Coffee and service was great. We had eaten out with family but the smells from the kitchen were amazing. We’ll have to try them next time.

I would recommend better pillows. We were so tired from traveling that we made due.

The hosts are kind and friendly, and did everything they could to make my stay comfortable. The property is beautiful, clean, and classic. The room was wonderful, and perfectly decorated. Just a lovely space. Breakfast was a wide variety of delicious items. Meats, cheeses, fruit, breads, jams and jellies, etc, lain out in a charcuterie arrangement, tabled in a gorgeous room where I was able to chat with another guest comfortably.

Lovely quiet location - loudest noise was horses passing down the road! Room was clean and comfortable - we slept well. Very relaxed atmosphere, wished we were staying longer as I'm sure it would make a good base for exploring the area.

Unfortunately we arrived after a local fete so there was no-one around and the restaurant was shut for the evening - which was a shame as it looked great (and the local restaurants are a bit of a walk away). However the staff were friendly and the breakfast was lovely.

The location was perfect and the hosts were very welcoming. We ate twice at their Turkish restaurant, the food was excellent and good value too.

Hotel/Restaurant in a wonderful small town of Wengen. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and the outdoor seating at the restaurant was the perfect ambiance, not to mention the spectacular food. Hotel and restaurant appear to be managed a staffed by a family who really know how to do hospitality.

the hotel is in a quiet place, the environment is beautifully arranged, the hotel has charm, quiet, cozy and tidy place, the staff answered all the questions at any time of the day, we arrived late, so late check-in was a great choice for us, the rooms are clean and warm, which I like, the warmth is huge plus, great experience, good luck 🙂

We were on a multi-day motorcycle trip and wanted a a stay at an out of the way small, comfortable hotel with a good restaurant. Mara more than satisfied our goals. The restaurant is excellent for dinner. There is a charge for breakfast, but the breakfast is also excellent. The location is off the beaten path, but that was what we were looking for.

Fantastic location immersed in the countryside closed to the lake. Very relaxing!!! The restaurant was a surprise with amazing Turkish cuisine.

Everything was perfect! Excellent service and a lovely attention to detail makes Hotel Mara a real gem. The restaurant is fantastic (some of the best Turkish food I've had) and very popular in the area.

Absolutely nothing. Really.

The room and the shower were awesome. The resturant is good (the food and the cool garden), the breakfast was very good as well.

There is no separation between the resturant kitchen and the hotel. The smell from cooking is all over the place, we had to run into our room to have the room door open for a shorter time as possible. There is no reception, so was hard to find the staff when we needed them.
