While I have seen many people complain about room size, we had a big room but a small, however decent, bathroom. The location of the hotel is excellent and you can reach the center foot. The market across the street is a good source to grab a snack or a delicious coffee or croissant. The breakfast buffet was sufficient with a bit of everything. The big hit was the fresh press for the orange juice (loved it). The staff were very helpful and kind. Also what I liked is that I was contacted beforehand and was offered to book a place at the parking next door. The parking is a bit creepy at night, but that has nothing to do with the hotel.

The only comment I have is on the bathroom. I feel it needs a refresh/ remodeling, it fel a bit outdated compared to the rest of the hotel. Finally, the plastic support at the shower definitely needed cleaning or a change (see photos). I will say, however, that the rest of the hotel is super clean.

Location is hard to beat. Sitting a mere 20s from the famous Carlsplatz market and all its vibrant delicacies this hotel is great for anyone enjoying the city sights. All the major metro stops are within 5 minutes walk and it has a pharmacy over the road. The rooms are recently updated but sadly let down by both the size and the very dated bathrooms. When the bedroom portion is modern and luxurious it makes the bathrooms in desperate need of a refit even more obvious. The gym is well equipped for those that like one but the sauna and spa area was repeatedly off when we wanted to use it and required a receptionist to unlock for you and pre heat it. By which point you’ve missed your window unless warning them hours before of the desire to use the sauna. Breakfast is very good but priced accordingly so you may wish to enjoy the market offerings outside instead. The bar is well stocked and the staff are helpful. Aircon and heating in the rooms is however dated and the system sporadically heats and cools outside of what is required for the season. It’s a solid 4 star but if the details and bathrooms were modernised it could be argued to be working towards a 5.

Smart hotel located in the Alt Stadt area of Dusseldorf, overlooking the bustling Carls Platz and a short walk to the Rhine. Ideal for exploring the little side streets of the Alt Stadt, the impressive shopping thoroughfares of the city and the riverside attractions of the Rhine. Good size double rooms with a large shower room, all tastefully decorated to a fresh, modern standard. We upgraded slightly to a room that incorporated a mini-bar/fridge with a small selection of soft drinks and chilled water, which was very welcome at the time due to the very warm temperatures in the city. A small coffee machine was also available. The room came with plenty of cupboard space for clothes and fresh towels were provided each day.

We decided not to accept the breakfast option charged at 22€ per person. It seemed rather expensive compared to the breakfast options we had enjoyed at other German hotels during our holiday. However, there are plenty of places close to the hotel that offer a range of good healthy breakfast choices for almost half the price!

Excellent location in heart of town, right on the edge of the Altstadt. Very clean and tidy. Easy check-in, plenty of correspondence from the hotel prior to checking in, including an on-line form, which made life easier. Market opposite with street side cafes and bars. Didn't quite manage to make breakfast, as we were out late as there for the Euros but looked good on the one occasion we passed by!

Nothing really, previous reviews mentioned noise but we were on the front of the hotel and it didn't seem too bad to us, local Pils lager probably helped though!! Altstadt lived up to its reputation and Dusseldorf is easily the best city stay for nightlife in the area. Great set-up for the footy down by the river (5min walk) with plenty of bars showing the footy as well as the fanzone. If your heading for the Euros stay in Dusseldorf, it was lively but only limited amounts of hassle and so much choice!

A stunning Boutique hotel in the heat of the old town , location would be hard to beat. All the Staff were really pleasant, happy & professional, especially Emily on Reception. There was 6 of us in our group & I had booked 3 double rooms for 3 Nights B&B stay; it was for 2 big Birthdays (40th & 50th) One of the rooms allocated (010) on the ground floor, was much smaller that the other 2, also a little dark, as its window looked onto a small inner courtyard, but the facilities & décor were exactly the same as the other rooms. However, room 010 backs onto the kitchen & the kitchen noises can be heard early in the morning, my husband was awoken by this & couldn’t get back to sleep, so we asked to be moved. Without hesitation Emily offered us a different room on the floor above, a perfect room , bigger & brighter than what we had. Emily also offered us the suite (411) “subject to an additional fee”, once we viewed the suite, we decided to up-grade. Breakfast was fabulous, loads of choice from a hot & cold buffet & really fresh. We will definitely return.

The location of the hotel was idea for our trip - right where the old town and river are. Noisy market over the road - but good double glazing kept out any noise.

The aircon was broken during our stay. A fan was supplied to the room - but this was not very effective, and we could not have the windows open as activity in the market commenced around 5am. It was very warm durin our stay - so meant for an uncomfortable sleep.

The hotel is very well maintained and in a great location. It's a bit of a walk to the train station, but through some lovely shopping areas. There is a taxi rank directly opposite the hotel if you don't fancy the walk. There are lovely bars and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was fresh and there was a wide range of choice. Will definitely stay here again!

Location was within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Breakfast was fab. Room was very clean and spacious.

Nothing I can think of. Would have been nice if the shower head was located above the taps not on the side as it made for standing awkwardly.

Overall staff was friendly. Initially room was wet on carpet but changed later immediately. Room was decent overall.

No facilities like microwave , etc. Amenities add value to what we get at the end of day. Housekeeping slow at times. Toilets were scarred at places

Excellent old town location a short walk to major department and clothing stores and excellent restaurants. Friendly and efficient staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Superb breakfast. We return at least annually for the hotel amenities and Christmas markets.
