I had a lovely stay here after my surgery at the Gelenk Klinik nearby, Marcus was a great host, very attentive and accommodating. My room was spotless and spacious and quiet. The breakfast was lovely and filling for the price. The sheets and bed all clean and comfortable. There is a convenience store at the gas station across the street open until 10. It's a great place to stay, I'm sure I will be coming back if I stay in Gundelfingen again which is a nice part of Freiburg and really easy to get to the center of town.

My room was below ground but it did have a window and some light, I just prefer more natural light, but everything was on point so I really didn't mind that much, everything was very convenient about the location and cleanliness.

Breakfast is served in the restaurant at the ground floor. If possible you need to state how many buns or croissants you like to have. There is a huge selection to take with the buns / croissants and yoghurt, fruit juices, a boiled egg. There is nothing missing. Anybody will find plenty to his / her liking. There are several types of rooms: ranging from very small to very big with balcony. Even the smallest 1 person room has a comfy bed, flatscreen tv, a large shelf on the wall in order to work on your computer. The big rooms are really comfortable and have plenty of space. The rooms are always perfectly clean and tidy. I always feel at home there. The hotel is on a 10 minute walk to the very good and reasonable priced Rößle restaurant (main course € 18,50 - € 32,50) and the outstanding GELENK-KLINIK. The Gundelfingen railway station is on a 20 minute walk. I recommend the Ritter bakery for its outstanding regional specialty: the 'Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte' (Black Forest cherry cake). Gundelfingen is a very beautiful, tidy and quiet countryside village. Neighboring Freiburg im Breisgau is easily reachable by train or the Straßenbahn which unfortunately ends before municipality borders. I also walk there in 20 minutes. Gundelfingen and Baden Württemberg are still as nice as my home country (Holland) was fifty years ago.

- There is no elevator and only the smallest 1 person bedroom on the ground floor. - Only the big rooms have a watercooker.

The room was super big, with a nice balcony and very clean. The bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was buffet option. The personal help me all the time.

The location is not ideal if you want to be close to Freiburg, but taking the buses or uber you can reach the city.

Marcus is super helpful. We are retired couple and he is willing to take our 2 big suitcases to the room upstairs. He is also give us direction on dining and grocery shopping. The room and the hotel are very clean and tidy.

Our room is facing the street so it is bit noisy when big trucks pass thru.

The property is located in a very cute village called Gundelfingen, very close to Freiburg. It’s really quiet and comfy, the road in front is not busy and so is the neighborhood. There many shops and you can reach a big supermarket in about 8 mins walk (it’s worth it, by the way). The owner was really nice and gave me a bigger room even though I paied for a smaller one. Everything was super clean. They also put a small candy pack on the bed as a “welcome” gift, lovely!

Easy to find and park, with local shops and the railway station in walking distance. The owner Marcus was very friendly, helpful and breakfast was excellent. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed watching the stork nest on the church tower from our balcony. We had an enjoyable day in Freiburg which is a short train ride away. Highly recommended.

The curtains did not block out the light from outside. Was not a problem for me as it’s November so it was dark outside at night but could be a problem in the summer

The hotel was just perfect for me. In a quiet area, close to a motorway since I had a car for travelling around, but also quite near a train station when I went to the centre of Freiburg. The room was spotlessly clean and the manager was extremely helpful and ready to give good advice. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room, I paid for it separately, but it was great with everything fresh and a wide choice.

Very friendly and hospitable hotel owner. Nice big room with comfortable beds. Tasty breakfast with good coffee. Hostel is very accessible from the freeway and there is a lot to do in the surroumding areas.
