Spotless clean and everything very modern. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Attention to details: eh assortment of soap and shampoo and lotion bottles renewed every day (I hate it when soap is just a big bottle hanging from the wall). Very quiet location. Conveniently locate close to the center, the railway station and the university.

The duvet on the bed was very small: it did not get beyond my lower chest if I wanted it to cover my feet. And also rather narrower than the mattress

Clean and modern hotel. Renovation looks new, hotel was clean. I was happy with the hotel and would definitely stay again.

The toilet’s dry area had no proper drainage. As the shower is small and the shower screen has no door, water easily splashes out. The flooring of the toilet was tilted towards the toilet door, and as a result i woke up with a puddle of water in front of my door the next morning

Walking distance from the Amin train station. Quiet, clean and neat environment. The breakfast was offering everything you need in little quantity that I found fair and sustainable.

I the room I was missing slippers, bathrobe and water. For the price of the room I belive this is normal to be included.

Great location right in edge of the old town. Super comfortable room with great bed and good shower. Breakfast was ok. Helpful receptionist young man from Spain he was really helpful.

Had to leave room late at night to move my car 2 inches as other guest complained about parking. Unreal!

The Alex was beautiful and sleek. I was expecting a smaller hotel to be a little less than exceptional—but that was exactly what I got! The staff were friendly and welcoming, the facilities were beautiful, breakfast was a delight, and everything was just wonderful. If you’re in Freiburg for a stay I would really recommend this hotel, as it is priced along with chain hotels but is close to the city and has a great look into German culture.

Location was quiet and convenient for the city centre and railway/bus station Very comfortable modern hotel. Great finish to fixtures and fittings. All staff were great including, reception, breakfast and cleaning staff. Breakfast had style and set us up for days of exploring the Black Forest and towns
