The staff were helpful. My room is really large and spacious with toiletries and slippers. It was one of the best rooms that I have stayed in during my five weeks travelling around Europe.

I could not get the Wi-Fi in my room. A nice staff member Was helping me but as soon as I got into my room the Wi-Fi was lost. It was terribly frustrating as I wanted to book a tour and the next days train trip. I’m probably being a bit picky but the lady organising the breakfast was very officious like an old-fashioned school teacher.

This is an ideal location for those wanting to explore the old section of Freiburg - it is all geared toward pedestrian and bicycle traffic. It is an easy walk to the Catherdral, museums and the Christmas Markets. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance and the trollys/trams quietly rolls through the area. For those wanting to shop there is also a variety of shopping within easy walking. Good breakfast provided each morning, plenty of variety and tasty German breakfast fare.

I wanted to be sure there was an elevator to my room which the listing indicated there was. However, on exiting the elevator on the 3rd floor there were seven stairs to negotiate to get to my room. If I’d known I would have requested something else within the hotel. I managed, but would ask differently another time.

The Location is amazing - right in the heart of the Old Town, Everywhere is very accessible on foot and all the streets are pedestrian. The Hotel was expensive per night ( in comparison to other hotels in a small city) but as it was a busy time of the year - mid June & its a tourist hot spot, It was to be expected. A very comfy and clean room especially considering the building itself is 100's of years old so always difficult to build in a protected structure.

Freiburg is a beautiful city and this place is located within the old town, super beautiful. The room was comfortable, the bathroom had a lot of space to place our belongings. Room service gave us a new bottle of water every day, and on Saint Nicolas day we received a chocolate bear. We had to stay a bit after checkout and the staff let us use a common room with the coffee machine.

The restaurant is expensive (as every other restaurant in the old town).

This was much nicer than I expected. Very comfortable room. I really like having the mini balcony. Coming back for a midday rest, I could sit out there and sip a drink. The breakfast was quite good. The staff remembered your name and drink order. It's in a pretty decent area or getting around most anywhere you'd like to.

Really, I can't think of anything I didn't like. Uhh, a few steps on the second floor was inconvenient to drag my luggage up ... ? That's really about all I can think of.

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast (different types of bread, jam, cheese, cold cuts, olives, vegetables, scrumled eggs, boiled eggs, fruits, muesli, fuit juice, coffee, tea, etc), comfortable beds, a good experience overall

The wifi was useless but we read that in other reviews, so we made sure we had mobile net The cleaning could be a bit more thorough (edges, corners)... noticeable but nothing serious

Little gem, hidden behind traditional fasade. Beautiful renovated rooms, the shower was fabulous.. and the courtyard is really cute. Breakfast buffet offered all we wanted.

It was very hot during our stay. A minibar fridge would've been appreciated. The breakfast staff, unfortunately couldn’t keep up with the guest flow and didn’t compensate it in friendliness...

Lovely Hotel in the middle of the old center, with special touch and fine quality of atmosphere. The Hotel Location is really good near all shopping areas , restaurants and bars. Parking - the hotel provides discount for parking in a park house near the hotel - you will need to ask for an extra ticket for the discount from the reception. Room - Nice room on 3rd floor with a balcony, double beds and bathroom which was OK.. Breakfast was lovely! with unique dishes and lovely tastes, Coffee was made by the bartenders by your request. Hotel Staff are great and smiley Hotel Design from outside is unique and charming

Hotel lobby needs a bit of refreshment in the style. Room was ok however pillows are not so quality. Checkout it at 11:00 without extra free stay for 1 or 2 hours. they are very strict. Balcony is not separated from other rooms - less privacy in the balcony. bathroom was ok, it could be a bit refurbished.

The hotel has a great history - one of the oldest hotels in the city. The location was great, amazing vieq from the window. Amazing breakfast, too good to ve true for a simple 3 star hotel.

The room was not fresh. Overall it was not dirty, but as it was old, sometimes you feel not perfectly clean. But overall i will for sure recommend the hotel. Location, amazing breakfast, good staff)

Breakfast was fantastic (huge selection and very tasty) and most of the staff were superb!! The location is ideal, so central but also peaceful. Rooms were clean and nicely laid out. Been to Freiburg many times and this was our favourite hotel so far.

One terrible staff member at breakfast. Shocking level of service - a shame as all other staff members were attentive and fantastic. Would have liked for more / better pillows but I didn't ask for any so that's a small thing!
