We were unexpectedly upgraded for free to the 4-star Design Hotel across the street (part of the same hotel group), so this review reflects that experience. The hotel was very clean, with beautifully designed rooms and a stylish, modern feel throughout. It’s well located, slightly outside the city center but still easily reachable. Parking was arranged through a nearby partner garage, which was very close on foot. The staff was friendly and professional.

The check-in process was a bit tedious—we had to re-enter all our personal details even though we had already provided them via Booking.com. Also, since we stayed at a higher-category hotel than we originally booked, we can’t fully assess the value of the standard 3-star option.

Good hotel at great location. We wanted a quiet room and they gave us the last room and it was very very quiet. The view from the room was mixed bag as it over looked the back of a row of houses. However above the houses was the back of the Black Forest and it was a pretty sight.

The price was bit steep. And top of that they wanted us to do the online check in beforehand. I did it a few days before and submitted; When arrived at the hotel after driving for 400 km, the receptionist asked me to redo the check in. I asked if they could do it as I was very tired but he politely declined. My question would be what is the point of having online check in if it doesnt work? And what is the point of paying so much money if I have to do everything when the receptionist could do it? This is new to me and I absolutely disagree.

The hotel has a great location at the edge of city center and beside a beautiful quiet park with great coffee. The rooms are clean, breakfast is very good with good selection. Hotel has its own parking lot with EV chargers.

The beds aren't the most comfortable, some rooms don't have the AC, fortunately the temperatures dropped a little, but i think it can get very warm in the rooms, but they provide a ventilator in the room. The parking lot can get crowded, but the staff keeps the keys in case a car needs to be moved, so they can fit a lot of cars.

The location was amazing, the staff super friendly, and always was someone there 24 hours. The room was quite small and the bathroom, but still functional, was clean and the most important the bed and the pillows was comfortable. The curtains made the bedroom dark, that is also important to me because I really can't sleep with absolutely any light. Also was really good insolated for noise, at least the room I get, only a few times I heard kids running and screaming on the corridor. They have parking lot as well, for people like me who loves road trips is really good thing.

I totally understand, but for me was kind of weird to leave the key of the car and a little bit uncomfortable to ask for the keys everytime I need it. Even with that detail I recommend it.

Outstanding breakfast. Very handy location.

The reception staff are professional and welcoming. What was most impressive though are the staff who manage and run the breakfast room - there was a superb selection of food and drinks and everything ran so smoothly even when it was very busy. Our room was comfortable, though if I was being fussy it was a bit dusty in places.

Just minor points, a proper bar would have been nice, and the common areas show a lot of wear and tear, though I believe the hotel might be updated soon.

We came by car, the hotel parking was 17 EUR a night so we opted for the parking garage nearby with said 12 EUR but we left there saying we did not have to pay anything, it was a bit of a walk I think around 250- 500 m , and we had to do it twice as we had to get our luggage and our dog to the room only thing that was a bit of a mission Room was big enough to travel with one dog and we only stayed the one night and it also had a lift to make everything easier with luggage and our dog. The hotel was nicely located to get into the main part of Freiburg few minutes walk

The hotel is located in a quiet area, very close to the old town, restaurants and the shopping area of ​​Freiburg. The hotel has a small parking lot (€17/night), but the parking space cannot be reserved. There was no free space when we arrived, but it was not a problem because there is a public parking very close - Zähringer Tor where the parking space costs 12€/24 hours. Good and varied breakfast.

The room was quite small. The hotel does not have air conditioning. The only way to "cool" the room was a fan full of dust, which was replaced with a new one when I requested it.

We especially loved the location, was accessible by car (with parking available at premises and nearby park house) and very convenient for walking into the Altstadt and nearby parks. The staff were exceptional, I was waiting to check in while the staff assisted not 1 but 2 separate 'very difficult' customers, they remained patient and helpful. My direct experience at check in was awesome, we only booked the room that afternoon and the staff were very helpful.

The 3rd floor hallway and our room were quite hot, we stayed end August and the weather was very warm, the common areas would have benefitted from some ventilation. Our room was acceptable, there was a small fan that we appreciated to move the air and cool down the room overnight with the window open.

I enjoyed my stay very much and only wish I could stay longer. Next time, I will book again. Professional service. Very fast check-in and check-out, all not complicated. Very nice quiet at night. I've got a spacious room with a sofa to sit on, safebox and fridge, bathroom with a bathtub - what a lovely surprise! Amazing location - walkable and also close to public transport. The fitness room is a great bonus! Can't say anything about breakfast - I will try next time!

I would prefer to have a water cooker (electrical kettle) in the room to boil water. It's not a big issue.
