We absolutely loved everything. Great location. Just a five-minute walk from the center, in a very quiet, cozy place. Great and varied breakfast. The hotel has its own underground parking and a restaurant. You must reserve a parking space in advance. If there is no parking space at the hotel when you arrive, there is a public underground parking 30 meters away. I would like to specifically note that the hotel has very polite and helpful staff. We stayed at this hotel last year as well. We would be happy to choose it again if our travel route passes through this city.

The room was spacious, comfortable, warm and welcoming. Even though we were in the heart of the city, the hotel is calm and quiet. This was during the Christmas Market!! We were in walking distance of the market which was one of the reasons we booked the hotel, the other was because they took dogs and we had ours with us. So, a perfect location. Breakfast was a feast!! Every dish you could think of was provided and topped up regularly. The staff, from the friendly receptionists, the bar staff to the breakfast room staff were all super friendly and helpful. A great stay.

We would have appreciated a restaurant within the hotel after days walking through the market! No other fault could be found by us.

Rooms very large and comfortable. Shower was large and powerful. Staff very friendly at check in and hotel bar was nice for a drink at night after a day of sightseeing. Hotel less than a 5 min walk from the old town and there's a supermarket close by for any necessities.

Lift was out of order on day one but was fixed by the following day. WiFi signal not strong enough to be picked up in the room but wasn't a problem as didn't need it but may be a problem for people who require WiFi when travelling abroad.

Clean, comfortable and efficient hotel with friendly staff. Good value breakfast with plenty of choice to fill you up for the day. Out of the main crush in town and close to walks in the hills.

Smokers - they are impossible to avoid in Europe. There is a pleasant outdoor area, but the smokers love it, so if you are a non smoker you can’t really enjoy it. WiFi does not work on higher floors, but there is an area near reception you can use to check bookings, emails etc.

That we could open the window, however it was at street level and next to the garage. Whilst it was relatively quiet it was disconcerting from a security point of view.

That we were assigned a disabled room, that there was no explanation as to how to work the airconditioning, not able to provide lighter bedding, there were winter duvets on the bed and its 30c.

The food was excellent - both at breakfast and in the restaurant. The staff were always helpful and friendly. We loved the location - easy to find and ideal for getting to the stadtpark and old town

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived to check-in - it was still being cleaned. And it seemed a bit rushed and not thoroughly cleaned. There were old tissues under the bed and the spare blanket had been used by previous guests as a picnic blanket - it still had grass on it.

Great location, walking distance from the centre of town for drinks and dinner. And plenty to see locally. Fresh modern hotel. We visited the botanical gardens (excellent and free) and walked up to the viewing tower. Very good breakfast buffet.

Parking in the underground car park was a bit tight, but I managed.

Air conditioned room is worth the extra when it's hot. Breakfast is good with a small hot buffet slection. Freiburg is not a big city and this hotel is only 5 minutes walk from one end of the main shopping street. We can recommend a guided city walk to orientate oneself- available from the main tourist office.

Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, with modern decor. Great location, quiet area but very close to old town centre and Schlossberg.
