We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was spotless and felt brand new. The views were absolutely stunning, and the breakfast was delicious — fresh & tasty. The room was quiet at night, which made for a very relaxing stay. The mattresses could have been a bit more comfortable, but it wasn’t a big issue and didn’t affect the overall experience too much. A huge thank you to the staff — they were incredibly kind and cheerful. They even let us leave our luggage at the hotel after check-out so we could explore the city more comfortably.

The group of women running the property made our stay incredibly comfortable. Their friendliness, warmth, and constant smiles create a welcoming atmosphere, which is especially appreciated when you’ve traveled far from home. The property is located in a peaceful area, just a 5-minute walk from the central station, and our room offered lovely mountain views. There’s also a cozy little backyard. Whether you’re staying alone or with family for a longer period, these touches add great value. While the breakfast is simple, as expected from a B&B, it’s more than adequate—I particularly enjoyed the yogurt, nuts, and avocado toast with veggies and eggs. The black coffee is also quite good. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, with comfortable beds, though they are double beds rather than a king or queen size.We stayed here in the 3rd week of Oct-2024.

We stayed for four days, and the two men hosting the Sunday breakfast seemed very serious. It might just be a typical demeanor in that area, rather than intentional behavior.

We had a great stay. The room was lovely with a balcony and views over the mountains. Staff were really friendly and great with the kids. Breakfast was brilliant. Location was great - about 10 mins walk from the train and bus station, 15 mins in the other direction to the Olympic Ski Stadium. Quiet residential neighbourhood.

The location was beautiful and the room we were in had an AMAZING view! The owner/manager was so attentive and kind. Our room was SO charming and I love that we had a balcony to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and the Mountain View. The shower and bathroom were perfect—warm water and good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was wonderful and it was just the most charming and positive experience!

The beds weren’t very comfortable. Not lumpy or hard, just not comfortable. Don’t blame the hotel for that though.

The property was well located near the Hausberg station and to the ski school near garmisch classic. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The house is very quaint and spacious and the views of the Alps is breathtaking. Breakfast is included and is average. However, the staff makes coffee which is amazing - I couldn’t have enough of the cappuccino they made for us in the morning with the breakfast. They would make it any number of times and keeps asking if we would like to have more.

There is no other access to food besides breakfast and most shops in garmisch city center closes pretty early which means dinner options are limited especially during Christmas and Christmas Eve. So we struggled to find dinner later during the day. The snack machine was not available at the time of visit.

Location was peaceful and suburban, felt like home, the deck for afternoon snacks, the staff, breakfast including the view, easy walk to the station and plenty of walking trails and sites nearby

Couldn’t make coffee in the room, the room could have chairs for sitting and relaxing rather than lying on the bed. But this did not detract from the overall appeal of the property.

Excellent breakfast choices. Warm and spacious family room, that consists of two adjacent rooms. Bathroom and toilet separately, which is helpful with kids. Very quiet residential area. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hooks, storage and table surfaces in the room. Lovely walk along the valley to the main gondola.

I would have liked to know about sauna downstairs.... completely forgot that it was available. It was a bit far to walk with kids to the town centre after skiing and then back to the hotel.

When we arrived first impressions were highly positive, the house is very well located (10/15 mins walking from the central station) and from the outside it looks beautiful (like a traditional alpine cottage). Staff was friendly and the check in process was quick an easy (remember to bring cash for the tax). They even have a small basket of bread in the reception counter, in case you want a snack on the go. The room was spacious, clean and very cozy with a comfortable bed, a work desk, a TV, decent wifi and a sofa. Bathroom was well sized and clean. But the main feature of the room is definetly the balcony, there's just nothing better than having your morning coffee while enjoying the amazing view of the alps. Once you are done admiring the alps, you can head down to the breakfast area. The buffet is your typical German breakfast, with cold cuts, cheeses, bread, sweet rolls, cereal and some vegan options. Everything in the buffet was of good quality and I'm still surprised how good the German bread is. Located in the basement are some additional features (that we didn't try, but are appreciated): A vending machine that accepts cards, a small gym and a sauna. We highly recommend staying here!

It can get a little bit noisy at times and, I admit this is a nitpick, but they only provide 1 pillow per person (As a side sleeper this was a bit of a bummer).

Fantastic location for exploring the beautiful local area. We were happy to walk so we didn’t need to hire a car for the four days of our visit.

We booked the last available room on the ground floor and so didn’t have a balcony, but nothing apart from that.

This was our second stay at Wiedegg Hotel Garni and again it proved the perfect choice for those attending the BMW Motorrad Days. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The hotel is situated on a quiet residential street and has safe parking for motorcycles and cars. It is a short walk from the railway station and the centre of town.
