very convenient location, close to both the train station and the city. Very friendly staff, grand old house, big and comfortable room. Bed was comfortable and the TV was working. Very affordable and decent breakfast.

The room was facing the railroad tracks, with a lot of freight trains going by during the night. It was okay with the windows closed, but still audible. The shower had no handheld shower head, only a big overhead "rain shower". There was a shower cap provided, but it still just isn't a good way to take a shower.

The bath in my room was great, as it was almost long enough for me to completely lay down in it! This was a pleasant surprise, and much needed after a long, tiring day of traveling. Great location, as it was a short walk from the train station and there were loads of potential places to eat. I chose the Thai restaurant next door and was not disappointed. Fantastic food, a nice atmosphere...and a steady stream of diners!

I know I had the window slightly open in my room (to let fresh air in), however, my room overlooked a busy road, which did wake me at 4.00am.

Fantastic breakfast and lovely staff. Room was spacious and clean, as well as just a short walk to the train station. Decent amount of restaurants in the area and overall ambience was lovely. Shower pressure was fab too and midday check out was good (although not able to use)

WiFi was really poor which was frustrating as I was very close to the lobby and was hoping to work the morning from my room. Had to check out early instead. Artificial light in room wasn't great as no main light.

The breakfast was good. The was a selection of hot and cold food. There were some good pastries and fresh bread rolls available. It was nice to have fresh fruit salad and fresh juice. Overall it was decent value for money. The staff clearing tables and replenishing the food were polite and efficient. The wi-fi was OK.

It would have been good to have an English language News Channel on TV, but it is just a minor point.

We arrived early and were very happy that our room was ready. We could drop our bags, change into warmer walking clothes and head out. The room was HUGE and quiet. Breakfast as others have mentioned was delicious and with so much variety.

There was mention of a bar, but in the off season, it seems to be closed. Not a big big deal because we were there to see see the city, not the inside of a hotel.

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. I thought I booked a small single room but this one was as palatial as the name of the hotel. All facilities were excellent. I suppose some people might object to the view of trains running in and out of the station, but I just found it fascinating, and the windows had soundproofing. Breakfast was very good, great variety to choose from.

A high quality establishment located on a main street within easy walking distance of the Hauptbahnhof, yet still quiet and away from the hustle & bustle of the station. Amiable reception staff with excellent English language skill. Spacious room with a queen bed and a bath/rain-head shower option, fridge, and safe. Buffet breakfast offering an excellent selection of fare. Excellent value for the price I paid for a three night stay. I would happily stay here again, if I find myself back in Hanover.

My stay coincided with a spell of unseasonably warm weather (something around 30*C mid-afternoon, I guess), so whilst my room was otherwise very comfortable, it did build up considerable heat during the day which left it a little warm for drifting off to sleep at night. It might not be a bad idea if the servicing staff left the curtains drawn during the day to keep the sun out.

The hotel was few minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof and the central pedestrian area. The room was modernised. It was very large with high ceilings and three opening windows. The bathroom was spacious. The room was cleaned and serviced each day. Despite the adjacent railway line the room was very quiet once the windows were closed. Air conditioning was good. Breakfast was good - scrambelled eggs, bacon, boiled eggs, cold meats, cheeses, juices, fruit, etc. It was excellent vaue for money and I would definitely stay there again.

Location good, room large and comfortable. Bathroom large and modern. Breakfast very nice. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful.

From time to time unpleasant smell in bedroom. Carpeting and furnishings appear somewhat worn. Disappointing that no notice before booking that bar not functioning.

Breakfast has milk alternatives (oat). Room was spacious and very comfortable. Bathtub was wonderfully big. Bed was very comfortable. Staff at reception is great. Very easy to reach from the train station.

Breakfast could be a bit stronger. Bread and options were just average. Staff is also not very attentive to products needing replacement at breakfast.
