This was a last minute booking for us as we couldn't get Rulantica tickets for the day we had planned and our original booking (at a different hotel) wanted to charge us more for the additional night than the cost here for all 3 nights of our stay including breakfast. Initially I was a bit dubious as we got off the train at Ringsheim and it cost us quite a lot in a taxi to get to the hotel which is situated just off the highway and there didn't seem to be much in walking distance except a service station with a restaurant, plus McD and BK. And the receptionist working when we arrived did not speak English so we couldn't really get any further info. However the room was clean, quiet and comfortable and there was lots of choice at breakfast If you had a car this would be a great stop. Less convenient if you're on train/foot but I discovered that Herbolzheim station was only a 20 minute walk away and there was a shuttle service provided by the hotel direct to Europa Park/ Rulantica for €5pp each way which was great value.

The hotel is well-organized and conveniently located close to Europa Park, making it an excellent choice for visitors. It offers easy access to parking, a nice play area for children, and a simple yet tasty breakfast. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, a great place to stay for families and anyone looking to enjoy the park!

I did notice an unpleasant smell of urine coming from the bathroom, which was disappointing

If it's just for one night and a stopover on the way, it's ideal. The hotel is located near the highway, but it's quite far from the city. However, there are fast food places and a gas station right around the corner.

Paid parking - for a car for 4 EUR per day. Breakfast was quite poor for a hotel, scrambled eggs were a bit burnt.

Pleasant room. Reasonable size for a family of 4. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Hotel is conveniently located next to some well known eateries and service stations which is ideal if you've driven all day to reach Europa Park. It's also max 10 mins from the park by car so an ideal location. Herbolzheim is 5 mins away also.

It's in a fairly busy location. It's essentially a motorway hotel, but a distance from it.

There was a wide choice at breakfast. The room was very large and the bed was comfortable. Even though our room was on the ground floor near the entrance, we did not hear any disturbing noise. Parking right by the entrance. The location is very good, right next to the motorway. If it's a long drive, it's the perfect stopover.

I dont understand why they charge money for the free parking and everyone parks there for free when we had to pay per day. No fridge ( mini bar) in room No free water cooler

Stayed many times and the hotel is slowly adding improvements. The rooms are more modern. The sofa bed that turns into a bunk bed is impressive. There's now Aircon There's a restaurant burger king and McDonalds all walkable. There's an exercise area to burn off some energy. There's a garage with cheaper than London petrol. It also has a bakery in it. A good stop on the way to Italy. The breakfast is good but busy. Usual continental fare.

The only recommendation would be to have hot drink facilities in the bedroom . Otherwise it has everything

Convenient location close to north-south motorway, ideal for overnight stay while travelling to or from Switzerland. Modern facilities, ample parking, petrol station, Burger King, short distance to main village with supermarkets. Noticed many visitors with kids as there is an attraction park somwhere near.

This was our second stay at the Highway Hotel - and we will come back! Friendly staff, nice, quiet and comfortable hotel with aircon, haridryer etc. The area has an OK restaurant at the Shell station nearby, 2 fastfood chain restaurants, a Tesla Supercharger, and a small bar at the hotel - and a good breakfast.

The room was very good, a lot of space, nice beds. The breakfast was veery good a lot to choose of.

It is better to have a shower than a bathtub, and if its not possible it would have been nice to have somewhere to hold when you go out from the bathtub, everybody knows how slippery it can be to climb out from the tub.
