Staff was very friendly + helpful .... Room clean and new

Shuttle does not leave from the Hotel, you have to walk in the rain (when it does and it does frequently) to the garage ... definite turn off and reason not to choose the Hotel the next time ...

Clean and conveniently located near the airport

Had a bit of confusion finding shuttle bus location at airport as the other 'hotel shuttles' were in the opposite direction.

This turned out to be an ideal place to stay before our flight. The hotel was in a quiet area, where you could drop off bags and check in before parking in the nearby garage. Everything was newly constructed, clean and efficient. The room was small but comfortable, with good beds and a surprisingly luxurious shower. The restaurant had good food which was reasonably priced, and just for fun, was served to us by a robot! In the morning, it was an easy 3 minute walk to the parking garage to catch the airport shuttle.

After 11pm no food option. I got in late after the restaurant was closed. I haven't seen any option around. So i got potato chips from the vending machine. Eat before :-)

Exceptional room for the price - actually two rooms as this was more like a “suite”. Very clean and comfortable. Perfect for a one night stay at the airport

My stay at the Platzkirsch Hotel in Kelsterbach, Frankfurt, was the most pleasant and rewarding experience in all my years of travel abroad with hotel stays throughtout the world. In particular, the Hotel staff made me feel welcome and eased my tension, after having lost my Debt Card with all my available funds necessary to cover the expenses for my trip to Europe. The manager, never under estimating my integrity, and understanding my concern, helped to work out a soluion, while waiting nearly three weeks to replace and recieve a new debit card from my bank in the United States. I am truly thankful for the good hearted nature and courteous people I encountered in the time of need. The staff's hospitality was superb, and not one time did the staff make me feel self- conscious for my indebtedness with the Hotel during the period of my lengthy stay. Reaching out and helping others in need is truly the basis of human kindship, and setting the good example is what the world needs today. Unfortunately, one does not find this type of genuine concern everyday. It deserves to be recognized and rewarded with honorable mention. It is not only a salute to humanity but, a tribute to the generosity of the German people at large. A special thanks goes the the Hotel Manager and the entire Hotel Platzkirsch support staff. May the Hotel continue to set the example of Excellence...

Absolute satisfaction...

With a 12-hour overnight between flights through Frankfurt, we chose this hotel primarily because the price was reasonable and it offered a free shuttle to and from the airport. To our happy surprise, it turned out to be hands-down the best budget accommodation we've ever experienced. The receptionist was pleasant and professional. The room was handsomely decorated in minimalist euro-style. The en suite bathroom even had good towels and nice toiletries. Whoever designed this hotel had paid attention to the position of lights, the location of charging outlets, and similar details. Even the cafe exceeded our expectations, with yummy pizzas and Asian fusion dishes, cordial wait staff, even a cat-faced robot to deliver our draft beer.

Our only real complaint was that the two single beds making up our "queen-size" bed weren't secured to each other. When we reached over to our partner for a cuddle, they slid apart. Guests need to be aware that the shuttle will drop them off a couple of hundred meters from the front door, and some of the staff don't speak English.

We loved the staff. All of them were so friendly and accommodating. I loved their leisurely but nice looking uniforms. I especially loved the decor of the hotel- beautifully done, timeless. The rooms were comfortable and the shower had space! WiFi in room could’ve been stronger. We didn’t need it but if we would’ve needed an airport shuttle, it was readily available. Overall a very nice hotel.

What I didn’t like were the extra fees- street side parking for €15 per night seemed a bit stiff. And paying for a small animal when the website is not clear about that was not nice. But we loved that they were pet friendly and even provided a big dog bed and dog dishes.

Hotel is very close to the Airport. Property still feels new with a restaurant in the lobby. Need some small extras? Vending machines in the lobby provide despite the lack of restaurants in the immediate area.

It was difficult to find the pickup point for the hotel shuttle. It's not immediately outside the baggage claim doors. Needed to call the property to clarify that pickup is by the medical center entrance just a short walk from baggage claim doors. As for the room itself the room the only thing missing was missing a hairdryer. Surely the front desk would be able to supply?
