We particularly appreciated the staff who offered terrific suggestions as to how best we could enjoy our time in Koln and who provided us with directions while also sharing some wonderful stories. We will always remember their kindness with smiles on our faces. We also really appreciated their garage for our bikes and their assistance in helping us retrieve our bikes when needed even though there were cars blocking our exit.

Every experience we had at the hotel and within the city of Koln was wonderful.

This is a lovely hotel in a nice quiet area of the city. Definitely the place to get a good night’s sleep. The staff are friendly and helpful. The local restaurants are good, and it’s not far from tram and train stops.

I thought the breakfast was disappointing for the price we paid (€18 per person). There was a limited range, and there were oddities like wrapping all the slices of bread in cling-film (why?). I’d happily stay there again, but I might eat somewhere else.

The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The location was good, about a 40min walk from activities in the centre of the city, or a tram or subway ride away. The hotel breakfast was a lovely way to start the day. Clean and spacious room and adjoining bathroom. The bed was a bit hard (but that's just me personally), otherwise no complaints at all!

Very friendly atmosphere – the staff were extremely kind and helpful. You can tell they truly care about their guests and do everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible. They were quick and efficient in solving any issues. Also, the hotel was spotlessly clean – everything was well-maintained and tidy. I definitely recommend it!

The front desk was very welcoming and helped answer our questions about parking. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the showers were nice and hot. A very comfortable stay.

We chose not to have the hotel's breakfast because it seemed very pricey. But the good news, is that there are plenty of places within a 5 minute walk.

The Imperial was a PERFECT choice for me, a solo traveler. It’s located in a very quiet, lovely, tree-lined neighborhood, far enough away from the town noises, crowds & traffic yet close enough to reach cafés & shop quickly on foot + public transportation (5-min walk to closest U-bahn stn). My room was spotless, nicely lit, very well insulated from sounds from other guests & very spacious & generously furnished. The best part for me was the super friendly staff :-) I was welcomed with a smile & helpfulness every time I walked by reception. I felt very well looked-after during my entire stay. Absolutely lovely, friendly staff! If I’m ever in Köln again, I would not hesitate to return to this hotel!

Absolutely nothing - it was perfect in every aspect!

Old school hotel with old world charm. Great A/C!

Checkout was a little rough - could have been smoother. But resolved it with person in question. All good. Refrigerator worked pretty well but would have liked it being consistently colder. Quite of steep charge for parking on premises (18 euro a night), but it is in a neighborhood with limited access to parking.

We arrived really early and obviously our room was not ready. The receptionist on shift was very welcoming and really friendly, she did a pre-check in (so it would be faster when we came back), she stored our luggage and we did not have breakfast for the next morning but she offered us coffee to get us started for the day. From someone that worked 10 years in high-end hospitality: she was at a 5 star hotel level of pro-active and friendly staff!

Nice and tidy room, comfortable bed and pillows. Located in a nice neighborhood.

The iron was very old and barely working. Even though we booked a room for 2 people, we had only 1 bathrobe and no slippers when checked-in. The hotel is nice, but very over-priced compared to other places in the city.

The room was perfectly clean, nice looking and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Also had stable wi-fi. Hotel is in a nice, quiet location yet only about 5 min walk to U-Bahn lines 3/4, perfect for getting to Koelnmesse and for the city centre.

Would have liked an extra power outlet closer to the table, and a higher desk or table for more comfortable laptop use. No major issues, had a great stay. :)
