I liked the location close to the village centre. Breakfast was more than enough and more than expected

I arrived late and had difficulties in getting into the premises. I was under the impression that the reception was open 24/7, but upon arriving,, there was no staff present. It took a while to locate another entry door and the phone number for help. Anyway, for a traveller without German knowledge, it would have been a problem to get in. An afterthought. I later noted that I had received an email with check-in procedures and those would have been enough had I checked my mailbox.

The hotel setting and the staff are exceptional. There is a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake with a picturesque view of Mölln. The changing light of the lake throughout the day is breathtaking. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I was very impressed and grateful by their efforts to make my young daughter's birthday celebration special. We stayed half-board, and each night enjoyed a delicious and varied menu.

The front of the hotel is rather sad looking - a few flowerboxes would work wonders! The interior bedroom furnishings are rather dated, the towels as dry and hard as wooden boards. But overall, these are small things in relation to the positives.

It was a bargain price. This hotel had everything.

For what I paid it was exceptional. It is old but all working, I am not going to say anything for this great value for money hotel. For 74€ with breakfast and everything in the room it is a real bargain.

Location and views over the lake are superb.

TV didn’t work and despite the problem being reported, nothing was done. The toilet flush was inadequate so a bin had to be filled with water to help flush away. No bar area for a relaxing drink after a walk etc. No kettle or coffee maker in the room.

Rezeptionist was extremely unfriendly and not knowlegdable at all!!
