the breakfast was very good and had lots of options of foods. Lots of healthy good quality breakfasts foods. The dining setting is great and outside is so lovely to sit. It is one of my favourite buffet breakfasts. the sauna area and steam room was great. They offer bikes for free which was very handy, lovely to ride down to the English gardens and the sit by the lake. they packed me a picnic which was really good.
there are two buildings of the hotel next to each other, I was in the building where the restaurant was, sometimes it was a bit loud and awkward waling through the restaurant. it s a great restaurant but It is hard to have the busy dining area right outside your window. As a guest of the hotel, and a solo female traveller I felt sometimes that I was an inconvenience to the restaurant in the hotel, as in maybe they didn't want to sit me. It just hard because I already feel awkward, it took a while to get the cheque even though I asked several times. I think the restaurant is extremely busy and the staff are a bit stressed, but they kinda put it on the customers sometimes. but great food nonetheless.

Beautiful hotel with shading staff and gorgeous, delicious breakfast buffet. Beds were comfortable and room was big and comfortable, lived the Clarins hair products lotions and soaps, so nice. it was really a lovely hotel and loved the chocolates and treats and wine/beer selection in the mini bar.
i didn't realize that there wasn't much to see around the hotel, it is really in a quiet residential area. we loved being close to the park and went on two long walks, and that's what we intended, but i thought there would be more shops and etc to look around nearby. but, really loved the hotel we were so very relaxed there and yhe staff treats everyone with respect and great care.

The breakfast was exquisitely laid out and superbly presented in a rather old fashioned room with very friendly staff only added to the charm of the what can only be described as an experience not to be missed. The rooms were spotlessly clean and cleaned every day for the week we were there. The nice little touches such as fruit being replenished and little chocolates by the bedside only helped create an even more pleasant experience. The restaurant was that good we could have eaten there every night and twice on a Sunday the food was that good, that crème brûlée, I can still taste it now!
The price of the breakfast was a little steep only due to the fact that we couldn’t eat everything that was laid out so that meant we paid 26 euros for a couple of bowls of cereal, some bread, and a orange juice (maybe two) and a coffee. We decided against having it every morning for this reason. This may have been just us and I don’t want to put anyone off or come across as being too critical as it was an experience to behold.

The hotel is a cute little German hotel located northeast of Munich near the English gardens. It was very well appointed and clean. Very helpful staff.
I was told the hotel was near Octoberfest. It is not. Need to ride the number 17 Tram then switch to the Underground. It’s a 45 minute ride. Also our rooms were above the restaurant and kitchen. It was very noisy with patrons coming and going way past 1:00 am. It sounded like they were unloading trucks. But we did not have coffee service in our room, but other rooms had it. Really could have used some coffee after being kept up by the resturant.

The hotel is in a great location if you want to be near park and the ring road (which we needed). It was a 25 minute tram ride to city center and we knew that - but that makes it a good value compared to hotels closer in. Lovely hotel. Restaurant next door was one of our favorite meals of the trip - too notch! Room was large for a city room. Wish we had time to use the bicycles - that would have been terrific.
Our room was stuffy. Restaurant was too. I don’t think the ventilation was working well. It was our fault but we didn’t know to ask for public transportation tickets at the desk. We later saw someone getting them there after we struggled with the tram machine - so be sure to ask about it. They should ask if you know how to use tram when you check in.

The staff was hugely friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful and comfortable. We were travelling with our 93 year old mother and they provided everything she needed. The breakfast is amazing and the restaurant in the hotel is stellar. Waiters were highly trained and exceptional. Food was authentic and fantastic german fare. We were thoroughly spoiled! The surrounding area is beautiful with trails and valleys, wild area for nice walks. Lovely sun room and patio as well. The rooms are comfortable and excellent. This will be our place to land and decompress whenever we travel to europe and come through Munich.
everything was lovely! Air Conditioning - mini splits in each room would have been great. It was damp and rainy and humid. Not a big problem - just a suggestion.

Very nice hotel attached to a swanky restaurant. From the comments and instructions about a code to access the key, I was worried we would have trouble checking in and/or there wouldn't be a reception. But there is a reception staffed normal hours, though not 24/7. So if you are arriving before 11pm or midnight, someone will be there to check you in. They are very professional and make the place feel very high-end. Room is comfortable, though ours faced the street and so had some street noise and also noise from groups leaving the restaurant and talking amongst themselves as they said their goodbyes. Overall, though, it was quiet enough at night. The complimentary fruits in the room were a nice touch. The bathroom is more roomy that you usually find in Europe.
The location is pretty bland - there's not much in the way of any shops or restaurants in the immediate area except for the spendy restaurant attached to the hotel. It is walking distance to the very large, woodsy "English Garden" though, so that is nice. If you want breakfast in the restaurant, they charge 26 Euro which seems crazy expensive. We didn't do it, so I can't say how the breakfast is if you want to pay for it.

The hotel was beautiful! The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is only about a 3 minute walk to the tram that takes you to the city centre. Our flight back home was in the evening so the reception team kindly stored our luggage for us while my husband and l went sightseeing.
The mattress was a bit too hard for my liking but that’s a personal preference and l recommend bringing mosquito repellent as it was such a shame to sit in the beautiful garden being eaten alive during the evening.

The old world charm was very welcoming upon arrival and the staff were more than courteous and friendly. We met so many people and my memory is not that great, but I would love to just say thank you to all the staff that we met and give you a warm hug from Alaska. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back and visiting again.
The only thing that we didn't like during our stay in munich where the taxi drivers. After a couple horrible experiences, we switched to using Uber and never had another bad experience.

The staff at this property go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We appreciated their willingness to help us out with some car rental return translation--they took extra time to assist us. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying the afternoons. The property is close to the fabulous Englisher Garten, so those who are runners will be happy with the extensive trails there. (There's also several biergartens in the park, but they are 1.5-2 mile walks, one way) We are always a bit skeptical with in-house restaurants, but this one is special. We noticed that many locals use it as a place to celebrate a birthday dinner. The Clarins shower products were appreciated, and the rooms are decorated nicely.
My one (and this is huge) advice: invest either in air conditioning OR screens for the rooms OR at least fans. We spent three nights at the property, miserable at night. We were (unfortunately) placed right above the outdoor patio, and as late as midnight, we could hear loud talking so we had to close the window, making it even hotter. In addition, the windows do not have screens, so mosquitoes (Munich has mosquito issues) can make their way in. If screens are not possible, then at least have fans available. Your hotel is so well-run and such a fantastic place. It's a shame to have guests not get a good night's (in this case, three) sleep.
