The owner and his wife were exceptionally nice:-) Though typical for continental breakfast, the breakfast was good and ample. The room and bathroom were of good size. This hotel is perfect for those traveling by car, looking for hassle free parking. Also, the setting of the hotel in a residential neighborhood is so peaceful and relaxing. As a bonus, an incredible family owned restaurant (Im Wulve Gaststatte) located around the corner just a few blocks away:-)

To NO fault of the hotel, street construction impacted strassebahn service requiring taking a tram and bus to/from hotel with service (direct line) reinstalled day of my departure. Also, the number one reason my choosing this hotel, was advertisement of spa and sauna, however, the sauna out of service during my stay.

Friendly hotel that served its purpose for my stay in this part of Essen.

The bathroom was a little basic, and the water pressure of hot water in shower was weak.

We traveled to Essen for SPIEL '22 event. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. It had a mini fridge, hair dryer, surprisingly fast Wi-Fi, and we could borrow an electric kettle free of charge. Also the breakfasts were very tasty and unexpensive. The service was kind and the owner speaks English very well. The hotel is a little far from the city center but the tram station is 400m away. Eventually, we could get to the Messe by public transport within 45 minutes. If I come back to Essen, I will definitely make another reservation in Hotel Wilhelmshohe.

The hotel was newly renovated and the room was clean and comfortable . The manager and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again when I am in Germany visiting my family.

The apartment was spacious and the area was very quiet. The rooms were big and nice. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Very clean hotel and great staff. Spotless room, fresh/renovated bathroom, basic but very good breakfast. Excellent location for work in Dusseldorf, Essen or Oberhausen, incl parking and outside seating area for coffee/beer. Very quiet at night and tram access (#105) within 2min of the hotel that takes you directly to Essen main station. I think they also have some rooms with kitchenette.

The hotel has a good location, which is not far from the Schloss Borbeck. It is very clean. It has a free parking platz. The bed is cozy. The price/performance ratio is good.

There is a street railway in the front of the hotel. It makes some uncomfortable noise. The equipments are not modern. There is no staff in the frontdesk all the time. Sometimes, you need to call the boss in order to check-in.

Great hotel in Essen, owner with his wife are very friendly. Hotel is clean, comfortable with private parking place.
