Second time here. Its a lovely quirky experience. With lovely host and comfortable quiet space. Its a fabulously complex way in sometimes - where you have to phone up and get guided around to a key box :) But it adds to the charm.. Dinner is grand and breakfast does not stint on a range of continental breakfast. Add to that, if you are lucky you are sent off to bed with a free beer ;)

Only thing is that its in a parkland outside Munster ( about 30mins walk to centre. but come on... enjoy the peace and slow down a little. walk along the canal and relax. If you pick the wrong day, then teh cook is not in, and you are served food by the host. how does a damn fine job.. but with a more limited choice.

Breakfast was an excellent example of continental service with a huge range. Scrambled and boiled eggs, selection of museli, cereals, yogurts, spreads (jam, preserves and chocolate), variety of meats and cheeses and plenty of juice and breads to choose from. Hosts were very accommodating, friendly and helpfully spoke English. The room was generous and comfortable, room 12 was very handy for us at the end of the corridor as our dog is a bit nervous so it reduced noise. We arrived on the evening after a long drive and the restaurant waiter made sure we didn't miss last food orders in the restaurant (8pm) which was very kind.

Fly netting on Windows would have been a plus.Not a complaint but observation it was very warm when we stayed so we needed the window open. The hotel has a large pond on the grounds so there were a lot of insects, but equally attracted lots of birds and bats which was fun to watch.

I arrived, in a thunderstorm, and a wedding the previous day had meant the restaurant was closed, but the warmth of welcome and the free beer :) helped me feel so welcome. I was told of places I could go, they would have got me a taxi.. but I was tired and had a lovely sleep in a quiet and comfortable bed. Morning was lovely as well, with a good breakfast and great coffee Would I come here again.. yes indeed. Secluded and about 1k from the town, it is perfect to be near Munster but in what I would class as a country hotel.

I would have liked it not to rain! :) But as far as I am aware, this is outwith the hotels remit. It oddly says on the description - no parking - but there was lots.

breakfast excellent. the owner provided breakfast from 07.00 and could not be more helpful and friendly.

self check in ! easy if you know how. No food or drink available in the evening. local resterants not far away.

Location, friendly staff and the breakfast.

Our room was plain and devoid of character. No soft furnishings to give warmth. The pillows were very very flat like pancakes.

Perfect place and location to stay for us and our dog on a long trip. Very friendly staff and comfortable room. Great surroundings for walking the dog. Breakfast was good.

Restaurant was closed in the evening due to staff shortage, but no problem really since it was just a short walk into town where there were several good restaurants where you could sit outside.

Very nice place a little bit outside. Clean, quiet, and near where we wanted to stay.

Rooms are a little small for families, but staff were enormously accommodating about confusion with extra bed.

The bathroom had no ventilation which is a pity as then the humidity stays in a bit too much.

The location is perfect if you need a location in the North part of the city. However, without a car it is difficult to reach by public transport in the evening.

The location is excellent, near the park for a nice walk and within walking distance of Munster. The staff were superb, especially Jurgen who was very friendly and gave advice on walks, etc. Room clean with a comfortable bed and a good breakfast. The best value stay I have ever had.
