Location, pool, parking (if booked before), breakfast, staff

We had booked a room with a balcony/terrace +lakeview. The room itself was renovated and nice, but there was no lakeview. Our part of terrace was in a corner, so when sitting you couldnt see the lake. And if you moved the chairs they were in the front of other guests' terrace!! Of course one could have STAND there ...but of coursr not. We think it is not fair to put pictures to Booking.com, hotel's website, hotel's iPad etc. showing the lake from he room's balcony. ONlY those pictures. The room costed, however, close to 300€. Perhaps our room was the only room like this.

Whilst the hotel is old, it has been well maintained and had a lot of charm. Perfect location on the lakes edge, and our room had a great view over the lake. We dinner in the hotels restaurant which was first class, and the breakfast is one of the better ones we have had in Germany. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room temperature could have been a little warmer.

This is a lovely Hotel! Both times I have stayed here I have been very satisfied. I’ve gotten great rooms with view over the mountains or the lake (which is beautiful by the way). The staff is polite and helpful, and the food is amazing! Great breakfast and varied courses in the restaurant. The hotel also has a nice Biergarten just by the lake, which is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal, or just a beer while taking in the stunning view of Schliersee.

The only thing I have in mind is when we first entered our room, there was a funny smell coming from the bathroom, like if it hadn’t been used for a while. This was only a bit of a problem the first night. It got much better after we left windows and the terrace door open, and turned on the shower and sink for a while. Otherwise the room seemed clean and renovated.

Beautiful location! We stayed just for 1 night but will be back again! The views of the lake and mountains were gorgeous! The room wa spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly! The restaurant and breakfast was delicous

Wonderful stay, nothing to complain

Beautiful location, right on the lake. Wonderful lounge chairs and canopy for lakeside lounging. Nice pool. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Nicely decorated. Terrific breakfast as well. This place was a treat for us.

Check in took seconds and we were offered a welcome drink. Fabulous! Very dog friendly and room was comfortable. Staff very efficient and friendly

Our choice of bottle of wine on menu wasn't available. Bar was closed, although we could get a drink from reception and fire unlit. Felt a bit unwelcome.

Excellent location by the lake with amazing lake and mountain views. We loved the way the hotel combined modern with traditional to create a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere. The staff very exceptionally friendly. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

The wellness area felt a bit unloved.

Staff was very friendly and tried to help where they could. It was difficult to communicate with the cleaning lady ad she spoke neither German nor English. But she brought a colleague up and then we could fix the problem The pool facilities were great (terasse, lounge chairs, etc)

Receptionist had no local knowledge to recommend hikes or walks

Wide choice for breakfast to suit everyone. Hote has a superb location right on the lake.

No air conditioning Hotel bar not open most evenings

Location is superb and the lake views are just WOW!

Weekend parking difficult but when it’s blue sky 32c everyone wants to be by the lake. We had kids above us running around all hours making a racket but they were moved after reporting.
