Large impressive hotel in the town centre. Despite which incredibly quiet. Reception is big and check-in easy enough. Free chewy sweets! My room up two flights of stairs. Entrance with big bright shower room and toilet to the left separate from the main room. Shower cubicle big and spotless with nice gel. Fluffy, soft white towels. Bedroom with wardrobe and cupboard space and one bedside table and one a desk and chair; both with lamps;. A good size room with double doors and ‘Juliet’ balcony overlooking a quadrangle and various styles of houses and a distant church. Two single beds pushed together with an obvious gap in the middle, so, NOT a double. Two large crisp and white single duvets; I was travelling alone, but, might not suit an active couple! Tele and good WIFI. A bottle of sparkling water and two glasses was nice. Everything clean and well presented if not a tad dated. Breakfast very good; if predictable. No restaurant. But, there’s a kebab house across the road and restaurants nearby. The Löwenhof was vibrant (quiz night!) with good beer and a brilliant salad. The town is very very pretty. Would definitely come again. Oh! Two breweries (or more) within a mile!

Decent, simple hotel with an ok breakfast. House seems to have boasted a grand restaurant at some point in the past but that appears to be closed now. Also seems the hotel has seen its best years, furniture and fittings are a little dated but everything still works flawlessly. Friendly, helpful staff.

Blaue Traube is well located in the heart of Schongau. Very quiet hotel. It’s an easy walk to the wall that goes around the town. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Typical of a small hotel. There was something for everyone, good breads, eggs, yogurt, cereal, etc. Plenty of variety. Parking in front usually available.

I’d have to be nit picking to complain. We spent two nights here at the end of a long trip. I didn’t find the bed very comfortable but my husband said it was fine. We both slept well. It’s a small hotel so travelers shouldn’t expect the amenities of a big chain.

My husband and I were very satisfied with our stay at the Blaue Traube Hotel. Our room was on the ground floor which we appreciated after a day of biking. It opened up onto a courtyard which brought in a lot of light and was very quiet considering it was surrounded by buildings. The room was basic but clean. The bed was comfortably firm. Given the very reasonable price, we were impressed with the quality and quantity of the breakfast, which to us make the hotel an excellent value. They also had a secure area for our bikes.

Given the hot summer we are having, it would be nice to have a fan in the room.

Very clean, pleasant hotel in the altstadt . Room was large, beds comfortable. Breakfast was ample. Staff very accommodating and helpful.
