I spent one night at Hotel Sonnenbichl in Halblech and was very pleased with my stay. The hotel is charming and located in a beautiful, quiet area with lovely views of the surrounding Bavarian landscape. The room was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and welcoming.

Lovely room with a balcony with a superb view over the village and the Bavarian alps. Location ideal, in a very quiet spot just outside the village, but with only a short walk into the village for restaurants, etc. Only a short drive to Hohenschwangau for King Ludwig's castles, but away from the hoards of tourists. Wies church nearby. Excellent breakfast. Marcus and his partner were the perfect hosts.

Everything!!! Staying here was one of our top highlights of our 9 week European vacation. Sitting on our balcony overlooking the snow topped mountains and listening to the cowbells off in the distance brought an unbelievable contentment we will remember always. Because it was so centrally located, we used this as our base to head off in various directions on daily excursions and it was wonderful to come ‘home’ to every evening.

The owners Marcus and Harvey were delightful and welcoming and up for a chat in the bar in the evenings. The location is very good - close to Neuschwanstein and Fussen.

Not many very close choices for evening meals.

Quiet location, outside of the villages. Nice little indoor heated pool area. The breakfast buffet was small but nice.

No restaurant on site, limited options close by. Rooms are a bit dated, although still good.

The hotel was in a beautiful location and there was parking right outside. Close to all the attractions we wanted to see. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection and friendly helpful staff

it is located really in the outskirts with a stunning view to the mountains. so quiet and serene. showers are very nice, clean and modern. they are a green property and care about the environment! I just love it! breakfast has plenty of choices compared to different places I stayed. lovely owners, very helpful. whatever I needed was available.

no restaurant on site, had to drive every evening to have dinner ( you can choose to drive 3 mins or 15 minutes depending of your restaurant choice). owners are nice enough to recommend plenty of restaurant options near by or a bit further. checkin time is really at 3 pm, when I arrived at 130 pm door to the hotel was locked, but given the circumstances it is understandable. bar doesn’t have a terrace, it is only indoors option if you are traveling at a nice season.

Excellent views from the balcony.Good variety for breakfast.Pool was clean and the water was just right for swimming.There were plenty of white fluffy towels.This hotel is ldeally situated for visiting King Ludwigs castles.

The property was spotless. The couple who owned it were friendly and really helpful. Would definitely stay here again - beautiful views, a pool ,sauna and tennis court.

You do need a car. The WIFi was poor but I think it might vary dependent on where you are.

The hotel is great. Very helpful personel, very picturesque place, abundant delicious breakfast, very location. The rooms are very large, with a balcony overlooking the Alps. The beds are king size. There is always a parking space.We will definitely visit again.
