Very quiet, comfy and clean room! The food served for dinner is really really good, we can highly recommend it, the ingredients are sourced locally and the quality is excelent. If you wager wether to eat somewhere else or at the hotel, definetly consider the hotel! Breakfast is tasty as well, there is a great collection of different high quality breads and bread rolls.

Breakfast was very good, room very comfortable. We needed to cancel our last three days of our booking and the receptionist was excellent in arranging this for us. We tried in vein for two days to contact Booking.com and if it was not for the receptionist contacting them direct, we would not have been able to get the refund. Therefore full marks and appreciation to the staff, but Booking.com was not available and therefore hopeless to deal with.

Could not contact Booking.com to cancel our last three days of the booking. Web site said there was a 700 euro charge to chancel but motel said there was no charge payable to them. Therefore who was going to receive the 700 euro payment??? Very poor service on Booking.com part, but luckily the receptionist contacted them direct and sorted it out. Booking.com could not be contacted, so very disappointed in their booking service.

We loved the location in Schwangau and the use of free bikes. There are so many bike paths and they are easy to follow. The room was very clean, the food excellent, and the woman who checked us in was delightful and made us feel so welcome after a very long journey and very little sleep!

Seemed the price we paid on Booking.com was higher than published rates after we paid.

The hotel is situated in a quiet village which is very close to nearby castle attractions and there are many places to go for a walk or by bicycle. The hotel staff were very nice, breakfast was good and the stay was a pleasant one. We also greatly appreciated the fact that the hotel also offered gluten free bread and snack upon request during breakfast.

A small suggestion would be perhaps for some cakes and hot items to be added to the breakfast selection.

Very nice, clean and modern room. We stayed at the annex and had a great view to the castles right from our balcony. You can reach the castle base (where the buses and horse coaches leave) by a modest hike or a 5 minute drive. Very easy. Friendly staff. Breakfast was ok.

Perfect location for exploring this regions castles without feeling that you were surrounded by tourists (such as ourselves 😊). Charming and extremely well run family hotel with gracious and friendly staff. Rooms and en-suite bathrooms were updated, clean, and extremely well organized (thought put into design and placement of furnishings, built-ins, shoe rack, etc). Lovely balcony, great bed and great shower. The buffet breakfast was amazing; let me “repeat”, “amazing”, compared to many we have had on numerous trips abroad. Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was also delicious. The icing on this lovely cake are the bikes you can borrow from the hotel for a ride around the gorgeous country side! Thank you for a great experience; you should write the book on hotel management!

A lovely hotel in a very scenic area. Free car park. The food was excellent, as well as the staff and facilities. We had a furnished balcony.

Excellent position in Schwangau about 25 minutes walk from Forggensee and from the hill that leads up to Neuschwanstein. The most lovely hotel with super friendly staff ,fabulous spacious rooms and wonderful food. Absolutely loved everything about it.

The hotel has great location, even if you missed your buss to castles, it’s 41min from Neuschwanstein castle and 20 min from the last bus station prior to the castles. The room was clean and had everything I needed.

What a quaint hotel! It is situated near the famous castle & an ideal location for nature lovers. We loved being able to rent bikes & explore the area. Ideally located next to Fussen as well! The breakfast was delicious & staff was friendly.

It did get fairly warm in our room (no AC) & We did wait almost 15-20 minutes before we could find anyone to check in.
