This place is wonderful. Anna is truly a gem! We were greeted when we arrived, they took our luggage upstairs, where a delicious evening snack assortment was provided at no charge. Water at no charge. The breakfast is an incredible spread of foods, as well as custom order, with linens, exceptional coffee, and MUSIC, in a sunny room overlooking a garden. We asked where we could find a laundry facility nearby and Anna offered to do our laundry at no extra charge. We were welcomed into their family and felt so pampered our whole stay that we hated to leave. No other hotel on our trip is going to live up to this place, and we were right. The balcony looks over the mountains with beautiful clean fresh air. You never need to leave.

We thought the location was closer to downtown, but in reality everything is within a mile of each other. Old town is about 1/2 mile. Being in a residential area meant quiet streets and quiet nights so you can sleep with the window open if you want.

The Hotel Christine is truly a hidden gem, a short walk from the busy downtown, in the quaint city of Fussen, with many rooms overlooking the majestic Neuschwanstein castle. From the moment you enter the hotel, there is thoughtful attention to the smallest of details from the flowers in the lobby to the modern furniture to the two tiny bells on the counter. It is a sign of things to come! Once in your room a beautiful welcome plate of the finest chocolates and other treats awaits you. Of note, is the large bathroom and sizable closet but I haven’t even mentioned the best parts of the Hotel Christine yet. That comes with the breakfast experience in the morning that I can guarantee - you will never forget. The table layouts, music, service, food quality and presentation with incredible attention to the smallest of details and the overall experience are on par with the best restaurants in the world! Chef Kurt is not only a master chef that is Michelin star recognized but a gentle and caring soul who named the hotel after his beloved sister. In addition to Kurt’s culinary expertise is Ana who makes your entire stay at the hotel a wonderful memory. It is she who greets everyone with a warm smile and a way about her that exudes kindness and love and will make you a better person for having spoken to her. I don’t often write reviews because the majority of my hotel stays around the world are good to satisfactory but I felt compelled to comment on the Hotel Christine because it truly was an exceptional experience my wife and I will never forget for all the reasons I just mentioned. I’m not sure if I’ll ever make it to Fussen, Germany again but if I do there is no other hotel I would consider.

Honestly, Anna was such a pleasure that I would consider coming back again. She welcomed us with a huge smile and gentle suggestions. We initially thought the hotel was too far from town and we were pleasantly surprised with a breathtaking view on our short walk to town. Anna made sure we knew where the path was located and it was so beautiful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and Anna really made the meal fun with little extras like Champagne one day and cake with ice cream the next. Little treats in the room was a really nice touch too.

The breakfast was the best I have ever had - folk took photos, it was so amazing! White napkins and table cloths, delicious food beautifully presented then more kept arriving... and finished off with prosecco. The hostess was really welcoming and friendly, and spoke excellent English. We had brought our tandem and they were happy for us to keep it in their garage. The whole place was beautifully presented, with lots of thoughtful additions. There was an elegant sitting room for guests, and our room had a lovely patio to sit out on, overlooking the mountains.

Having visited (and reviewed) in 2016 we just had to return to this remarkable hotel. Needless to say the quality is as good as ever! Hotel Christine is located on the outskirts of Fussen, about 15 minutes walk to the old town with its history and eateries. The room we had (room 1) was well laid out on the ground floor, and had what felt like a private patio and garden. Now... the breakfast, will be the main reason for booking this lovely hotel. You are treated like royalty, with a grand selection of a tiered platter of cheeses, hams, smoked salmon and prawns. Breads, various juices, coffee, fruit salad, specially cooked eggs, a wonderful pancake (second day), yogurt, croissants... I could go on... You definitely won't need lunch, all of this served at your table in the most professional manner. The whole team at Hotel Christine are to be congratulated on the high level of attention to detail that they provide. You have to stay here, irs worth every penny!

Hotel Christine was a lovely surprise. Located a few minutes walk away from the town center of Fussen, this hotel was in a peaceful neighborhood with nice mountain views. The breakfast was without a doubt, the most varied and extensive we experienced in all of Switzerland and Germany. Many little details were considered such as a fresh welcome snack in the room, sparkling water every day and personal packs of kleenex. The hotel was lovingly decorated and the common rooms were filled with fresh plants and flowers. The staff was more than kind.

Duvet covers without sheets, but this was experienced in every hotel we stayed in throughout our 3 week vacation. Even with windows open and cool night temperatures, a full duvet is too warm for us.

In all our travels around the world, this was the best breakfast ever. Now Rupert may not be everyone's cup of tea, but in his proud German abruptness, he truly was proud of the food he prepared every morning and it was amazing.

Now once again have a thick skin .... there is no lift in this hotel. I understand we only booked for 2 nights but we were travelling through Europe for 5 weeks so our bags are big. Don't take to heart the eye roll of Rupert, just do your thing and straddle the staircase . You'll get along just fine 🙂

We loved our stay at Hotel Christine. The host was excellent and very helpful with advice on the sights and recommending a driving route around the area. The breakfast is exceptional and probably the best we’ve ever had.

There was nothing to dislike.

We had a fabulous 2 night stay here. Kurt, the owner, was extremely helpful with directions to Fussen, and we were able to park our motorbike in the garage. Located in a lovely quiet residential area. 5mins from a great lakeside cafe, restaurant. 4 course Breakfast was outstanding, served to you. Lovely touch of a glass of bubbles on our last morning. Would definitely stay again. Lovely welcome platter in our room. Loved the little yellow duck in the shower.

It was the most satisfying hotel of my seven nights in southern Germany and I wanted to stay one more night, and the room was pretty and especially the elaborate breakfast was impressive. The yard next to the hotel is lovely, too. I really want to stay again when I come to Füssen.

It was difficult to stand up and take a shower when using the bathroom in our room, I think it was because of the window position on the ceiling, but I understood.
