We really loved Hotel Hirsch! It was a perfect choice for us, while we visited Füssen to tour both Hohenschwangau Castle and Neuschwanstein Castle. It's a beautiful hotel with a great location. We were driving, so we appreciated the hotel has parking not only in front, but also is convenient to public parking if their lot is full. The hotel's restaurant is great also. We chose to make a dinner reservation in advance, and were really happy with our meals. One big bonus for us was the hotel offered a coin-operated laundry to guests, which was perfectly timed for our journey. The separate washer and dryer units were of great quality and we got good results in a very short cycle time. (In our experience, this is not typical for hotel guest laundries, so was a wonderful surprise.)

This hotel was my absolute favourite place I stayed during my whole Europe trip! The staff are so helpful and just absolutely lovely to be around. I really loved the true German rustic vibe they create here with the staff uniforms and beautiful decor. My room was just as it looked in the pictures when I booked. It has everything you need with a great size bathroom. Everything was very clean and tidy with all the toiletries and towels. The location is fantastic and just minutes from the train station. The buffet breakfast was so delicious and I looked forward to it on my second morning there. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Fussen or the castles.

There’s absolutely nothing I didn’t like about this place!

The décor around the whole hotel was quaint. The dining room furniture was like something out of a fairy tale. The breakfast was lovely, nice choice and the option of fresh cooked omelette/fried eggs, if preferred. The parking was excellent, just outside the door. You are in the centre of the town and have a huge range of restaurants and shops. There is a lovely pedestrianised square close by, where you could sit of a coffee. We had breakfast then visited the castle, which was magical

Maybe better lighting in the bathroom as it was dimly lit. That would be my only 'dislike'

Excellent location in Füssen, a few steps away from the bus stop to the castles/Oberammergau/Wieskirche, and to the center of town! The staff was accomodating, and let me store my luggage in a back room while I finished visiting the city on my last day.

Room was pretty small for the price; same for the bed, and the hot water in the shower was a bit... Capricious. But functional. Still, in my case, I didn't really see those points as big complaints until I left and checked in another hotel with more value for the money.

This beautiful hotel was perfectly situated very near the old town of Fussen which meant a very short walk in to all the shops and restaurants and many amenities. The hotel itself is very majestic and the rooms are stunning with amazing views, breakfast was so good with lots of choices of warm and cold food, lots of fruit and cold meats and cheeses, lovely. The staff are so welcoming and will do anything they can to make your stay more enjoyable with little gifts like the Fussen card for free bus and some train travel and discounted access into some amenities. Hopefully a revisit is in the future

Great location in Fussen. Right near lots of shops and restaurants. Also near train station. Our room was huge, with three beds, and very clean and well-kept. Great breakfast buffet.

Our room was located near the kitchen so it was a little loud. Also there is no air conditioning. The listing also mentioned guests could use the laundry facilities. That didn’t work out for us because they are used by the hotel staff and had towels in them our entire stay so we couldn’t wash our clothes here as we had planned.

Hotel Hirsch was such a great hotel that I was truly sad when we left that I had not booked more nights at it! We had intended to spend a couple of nights here, but I decided before coming to change it to just one night so we could move on and drive into Austria. It was so comfortable, lovely, and nice (they offer free parking, a delicious breakfast, the beds are so comfortable, the staff is very friendly, etc.) that I wished I had never changed my plans and just have stayed here instead. It is a great value for the price and I will definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area!

Literally nothing. I have stayed in five hotels over the course of two weeks and this one was my favorite!

Everything about this stay was exceptional. The front desk and the manager (Harald) are extremely professional and attentive. The rooms are recently renovated and very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring Fussen and the surrounding area by foot (or bike). You're walking distance to a supermarket - and the restaurant with the hotel itself has brilliant Bavarian cuisine with a focus on creative uses of seasonal ingredients (i.e. pumpkin seed parfait with stewed plums). This is as good of a hotel stay as you'll find in Germany (or really anywhere for that matter) - I cannot recommend it enough. Looking forward to returning one day soon.

The location is perfect as it is about 5 mins walk from the Fussen station and the Füssen Pulverturm bus stop is next to the hotel from where you can take the bus to Neuschwanstein castle. The staff is courteous and kind and allowed us a late check-out. Breakfast options are great and they also have a restaurant that serves great dinner.

The mattress was too soft. I'd have preferred a slightly firm mattress. I'd also have liked if they had a Nespresso machine for coffee while in the room.

This is a lovely (but big) hotel a short walk away from the centre. Breakfast was really good, the room and bathroom lovely and the beds comfy. It has a secure room for bikes and the added bonus of a washing machine and tumble dryer (against a small fee). We also enjoyed our meal at the restaurant

The hotel is on a busy road but the windows are fairly sound proof. The stairs to get to the bike room are quite steep but it's ok with two people
