If you are the kind of traveller or tourist who loves peace and quiet moments after and away from the noice that comes with city centre tourist shennanigans, this hotel needs to be on your list of stays in Allgäu. Though right next to a busy road, it's truly a hidden gem. Very friendly staff, unbelievably clean rooms (mine) amazing view and the breakfast buffet is .... the best way to start your day.

The spa and wellness area is only open for 6 hrs. But the positive part of that : In my opinion, why exactly would one want to laze around the spa when there's so much one can do outside the hotel and within proximity? Also, that's a very environmentally friendly way of balancing needs , consumption, and cost saving in this rotten economy days that don't favour such establishments.

+ Beautiful views of the lake. + Very spacious room with a table, a sofa, a big bathroom and a terrace. All of it very clean. + They provide a handbag with towels for the spa, which is really nice. + Breakfast had lots of variety. + The heated pool is heavenly! :)

- There was a little bit of a problem when going to the swimming pool. We went through the sauna area because we didn't know how to get there otherwise and some guests were pretty rude because we had swimsuits on and we should be naked. We didn't even look or enter the saunas, we passed through the corridor to get to the swimming pool. - The hotel is really close to a highway and as soon as you open the window there is a lot of noise, but the windows block all of it when you are inside, they are very effective and we had a peaceful stay :)

I had a wonderful one-night stay at this hotel and wish I could have stayed longer! The location is perfect—right near a stunning castle and a beautiful lake, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful getaway. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly staff, who made me feel right at home. The highlight of my stay was definitely the spa. It’s beautifully designed with an amazing view that adds to the relaxing atmosphere.

Honestly, there wasn’t anything I particularly disliked about my stay. The only minor inconvenience was the limited check-in window, which was from 14:00 to 18:00. You just need to take it into account when planning your trip, but overall, it didn't detract from an otherwise wonderful experience.

Very quaint, great breakfasts, lovely location. Restaurant was great even when they were very busy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We didn’t have a view, which was a shame because the view was spectacular from the front of the hotel, but the staff did explain to us that family rooms weren’t appointed with a view. The pool is not available for children under 16 which we only realized after we made the booking and the hotel sent us a message with that information. Our daughter is 11 so it meant as a family we could not use the facility together, so we didn’t at all.

This was such an amazing experience. The hotel is amazing, and nestled in a beautifully scenic area. The view of the Alps and surrounding castles was breathtaking. The staff was wonderful, and the amenities were incredible. We particularly loved the sauna and spa which is above and beyond for a typical hotel. The accommodations were lovely and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve experienced in Europe. I would highly recommend this property!

The room is spacious, and the view overlooking to the lake is very beautiful. It is also located in a quiet area, and if one likes nature, this is a place to be. We were there during Christmas eve and had a great time. The breakfast was also pretty good in my opinion. We used the wellness area and also enjoyed it.

When we first entered, there was a terrible smell from the bathroom, but it was gone after flushing the water in the shower room.

Cozy Bavarian hotel by lake Forggensee is so beatiful place for holiday. We had lots of fun - swimming in the lake, rent SUP, bikes, went rafting and visited famous castles. Very friendly people, clean and comfortable rooms. And rich choice for breakfast. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and spa. Hope we will be able to come again and hear your friendly Gutten Morgen!

Excellent and huge selection at breakfast, everything is fresh and delicious. The restaurant has an excellent chef and the food is very delicious. The pizza and pasta day is a good idea, the pizza is very good as if we were eating it in Italy.Very helpful, kind and always smiling staff, the waiters are excellent and quick to serve. Thanks for all.

We didn't find anything to complain about. Maybe I would recommend a mini fridge in the room.

The room was very nice, it had a lovely alpine style and it was very light, 2 windows and a door to the balcony. The view was really amazing, we could see the lake and mountains. Nice walks to be made from the hotel. Next to the hotel on walking distance there is a lovely biological farm with happy cows and chickens, where we could buy biological eggs. We loved observing these lovely cows, who could walk outside whenever they felt like it. The atmoshere in the dining hall was also pleasant. And the breakfast was very good. A nice range of choices, also for us vegetarians. Dinner for vegetarians was great. Not much choice, only 2 options, this could be improved of course, but both dishes were very good. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

There was one thing. The smell in the hotel in the corridors. It smelled a bit like meat, and since we are vegetarians, this was a very bad smell for us. Maybe a suggestion for the hotel to open the windows more often or close the door to the kitchen, so that fresh air can come inside. Luckily this was not so in our room. Another thing was that we could hear our neighours above us. They had a small child who was running and jumping the whole evening. But since this is the energy of a small child we laughed about it and it didn't disturb us that much. It was quiet in the night luckily:)

The SPA experience was amazing, didn’t have many people so felt comfortably fine. The memory mattresses were cool. The breakfast was super tasty!!! I wish to come back with my family again. This visit was too short, to enjoy the facilities. Loved also the perfectly white towels and bed lining. Superb!
